Save the Date! Annual Mass AG Bell Event The Annual Mass AG Bell Skate event was a great success again this year and we want to thank everyone who attended. We also want to thank our guest attendee Jacob Landis. Jacob is bicycling all over America, attending games at all 30 major-league ballparks this summer as he attempts to raise money for cochlear implants. He is hoping to reach $1 million to provide cochlear implants to those who cannot afford it. More information can be found at www.jacobsride.com. Clarke Schools Summer Adventure- July 14 th -26th Walk for Hearing –Oct. 27th Chapterwide Miniature GolfEvent Please join us again this yearfor a Chapterwide miniature golf event at Crystal Caves on September 22 nd at 1pm. Crystal Caves is located in Auburn MA and appeals to all ages. They have everything from mini golf to batting cages to a basketball trampoline. We will provide ice cream, pizza and beverage. The event got GREAT feedback last year, so mark your calendars forSeptember 22 nd at 1pm! The Biennial Northeast Cochlear Implant Convention is Friday-Sunday, July 26th-28th at a new location oBoxborough MA! This convention is geared towards anyone interested in meet other with cochlear implants, share stories, and make new friends. Mass AG Bell is sponsoring the teen group’s event! It’sopen to professionals in the industry, cochlear implant recipients and their families. The last session onFriday afternoon is open to all attendees, followed by the traditional Ice Cream Social Friday night.Saturday will have sessions throughout the day that will cover a variety of topics. Sunday will be a half-

We have a new member on the Mass AG Bell Board that wewould like to introduce. Grady is taking on the role as FundraisingDirector. Currently, he is the head athletic trainer at the RossSchool in East Hampton, NY and he just graduated from theUniversity of Vermont with a degree in athletic training. He was
born deaf in Maine, and moved to Massachusetts when he wastwo years old so he could attend Clarke. He continues to beinvolved at Clarke by serving on the board of the Clarke SchoolsAlumni Council (CSAC). He has worked the Clarke’s summer camp four times in the last six years. He will be working theClarke “Summer Adventure” in July as well as “Explore theOutdoors” program for teens in August. Please join us inwelcoming Grady to the chapter!
