It will connect Mambalamwith Kodambakkam.

The subway which will be100 meters long will be built ata cost of Rs. 1.4 crores.

There used to be a mannedrailway crossing at this spotwhich was removed two yearsago for the construction ofthe flyover.

Sridhar said that it usually

takes him 3 to 5 hours to paintthe image inside an egg shellbut it takes 3 days to emptyand clean the shells.

He said that he holds a recordof painting 181 miniature im-ages inside a single bottle.

He also holds a unique recordof painting portions of Thiruv-alluvar in 100 different bottleswhich when arranged producesthe entire image of Thiruva-lluvar. Sridhar has conducteda number of fund raising pro-grams for needy organizationsand promoting cultural activi-ties, by exhibiting his artworkin schools, colleges, corporateoffices and other public places.

He is a professional drum-mer and is popularly known asDrummer Sridhar.

He performs regular lightmusic shows, fusion programsand instrumental jugalbandiwith “Sukkiravaari” band.

He has also performed inmore than 1000 shows withprofessional music troupes inIndia and abroad.

He holds the record for “24hours non-stop drumming”,“12 hours non-stop playing ofdarbuka (an Arabic drumminginstrument)”, which he did in2012. His records are listed in“Limca Book of Records”, “In-dia Book of Records”, “AssistWorld Records”, “TamilnaduBook of Records”, “World Amaz-ing Records”, “RHR India” and“Unique World Records”.

Subramani (39) (employedas film production manager)and his wife Bhuvaneswari(40), who conned a number ofcar owners by offering themlucrative rental deals and thenselling off their vehicles, werearrested by the city police onWednesday.

Police said that the couplewho were residents of K. K.Nagar sold nearly 40 vehicleswithout the consent of theirowners.

They managed to get a num-ber of cars including high-endsedans on rent by placing at-tractive advertisements indailies.

Subramani used to rent out

these cars to film artists andproduction houses.

The couple sold 40 of theserented cars at cheaper rateswith the promise to the buyersof producing the original docu-ments and registering them ata later date.

If an owner asked them toreturn the car, they would tellthat it was in use and wouldoffer another car for the timebeing. Police said that the fraudcame to light when one of theowners spotted his car in thecity and on intercepting it, wastold by the driver that he hadpurchased it secondhand re-cently.

He then lodged a complaintwith Anna Salai Police Sta-

tion. The couple were arrestedand remanded to judicial cus-tody.
