Can we say Yuck!!! We all need to do our part in helping keeping the sickness from spreading. If you can help keep your body strong on the inside you can help keep yourself from getting sick, or at least as sick. 1. Get plenty of rest. The more you over do it the more you wear your body down. Try and get 8-9 hours of sleep per night. 2. Eat healthy and drink lots of water. There is a saying, ‘You are what you eat’. That is true to a point of course. If you eat junk food all the time your body is not able to build up any defenses to keep you from getting sick. If you eat healthy and drink water it will help your body build up defenses and help flush out the bad stuff. 3. Cover your coughs and sneezes and WASH YOUR HANDS!!!! Did you know that when you sneeze 3,000 infectious droplets can spray into the air at about 100+MPH? PLEASE keep that to yourself! 4. After you have been sick make sure you help get rid of all those germs. Get a new toothbrush, wash your bedding, coats, wipe down your phone, iPod, T.V. remotes, door knobs, etc. Cold and flu virus can live up to 24hrs on hard surfaces such as desks and tables. 5. If you have a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or con- stant cough - stay home! Stay home from school, work, church, Walmart. STAY HOME! Nobody else wants it! The sickness is going around so please help do your part to keep yourself and others healthy. I wish you all good Health and Happiness!! Early is a time for students to invite their grandparents to spend a day with them at school, show off their classroom, and meet their teachers, view special pro- jects, and join them for lunch. On October 26, 2018, Marion C. Early Elementary School opened up its doors to nearly 250 grandparents and family members to celebrate the importance of relationships across generations. We’d like to send a special thank you to all grandparents who were in attendance for supporting our students and community. We’d also like to thank all of the very special people who came to spend the day with students whose grandparents were not able to attend. In all, this years Grandparent’s Day turned out to be a very special day. raised to support classrooms and different organizations, while over $2,400 was raised for PTO. Students were able to play games of all kinds, get their faces painted, and have a great time with friends. This year’s carnival queen and king were Brailey Williams and Cole Wooliver of Mrs. Sawyer’s class. The PTO Carnival was held on October 13. The carnival was a great success, with many thanks going to all the volunteers, teachers, and students who put in a lot of hard work to prepare for the night. There were twenty booths that filled the Field House as well as the lobby. With the help of everyone, over $3,400 was Mystery Math & Reading Family Night The elementary hosted a Mystery Math and Reading Night on December 6.
