∗ The Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce facilitates the area’s tourism program (the Lynchburg Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau) through a contract with the City of Lynchburg.

∗ Budget monies are dedicated through City lodging tax dollars, and the Chamber’s tourism staff directs the program which includes marketing, sales, outreach, training, productdevelopment, regional programming, the Lynchburg Visitor Information Center and more.

enhancing its image as a destination for leisure visitors as well as group and sporting events,

and to insure a first class visitor experience, thereby having a positive impact on the local economy.

The LRCVB is one of less than 100 DMO’s around the world accredited by DMAI (Destination Marketing Association

International). Working closely with DMAI and other leading tourism authorities, the LRCVB maintains best industry

practices with top results for Lynchburg and the region.

Tourism is good for Lynchburg’s economy!

The LRCVB’s successful marketing strategy targets both national and international audiences in the leisure, group tour, meetings, and sports markets, selling Lynchburg as a destination of choice!

Visitor expenditures in Lynchburg last year totaled $136 million dollars.
