#1. Alcohol and Boating don’t mix 

• Use Coast Guard approved life jackets

•  Watch weather reports

• Practice safe drinking

• Use the Buddy system

• Recognize the signs of heatstroke andexhaustion—fatigue, confusion, extreme thirst,cramping and dizziness or nausea

• Place icepacks back of neck, under armpits, and behind neck

#3. Practice safe grilling

• Cook food thoroughly 

• If first time cooking on grill, makesure to perform full maintenance

• Never use a grill indoors• Fire extinguisher
