DESIGN CUES Incorporated into the gleaming athletic appearance, stylish L-shaped premium LED headlights, rear lights, and floating C-pillars highlight the continuity this all-new RX redesign has with its Lexus pedigree.

POWER REAR DOOR Standard power rear door features new spindle-type electric motors. A memory function enables the user to set the automatic stop position of the rear door when opened. Power rear door switches are provided on the instrument panel, the wireless remote and the rear door garnish on the bottom end of the rear door.

IMMERSIVE AUDIO VISUAL With Bluetooth and USB capability, the 12*-speaker 8-inch display incorporates, voice-activated navigation system with Remote Touch. Heighten the thrilling performance of the RX with the equally impressive available 12.3-inch colour display screen and organic TFT multi-information display.

POWER ADJUSTABLE SEATS Both front seats provide lumbar support and are dressed in perforated leather that is both heated and ventilated. A memory system also remembers driver preferences for unquestioned comfort. A heated leather-sheathed power tilt and telescopic steering wheel offers audio controls, plus a leather-wrapped shift knob. A reverse camera with Back Guide Monitor complements the available colour Heads-Up Display,** our largest ever.

FINELY-TUNED SENSORS For heightened attention when your eyes are on the road ahead, rear-mounted radar detects the vehicles you can’t see, while an alert icon appears in your side mirror. And when your attention is directed behind you, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert detects and notifies if a vehicle is approaching while you back up.

SAFETY The RX features 10 standard air bags - driver and passenger; the passenger seat cushion airbag being newly added; curtain shield airbags ; driver knee airbag; side airbags for front and rear passengers. The electric parking brake switch is located on the console. Elimination of parking brake pedal/lever which creates more space. Auto or manual mode can be selected by holding the switch up or down for several seconds.

LED HEADLIGHTSL-shaped LED daytime running lights are standard on all models. While the RX 450h comes standard with triple-beam LED headlights.

LEATHER STEERING WHEELA 3-spoke leather trimmed steering wheel has been ergonomically designed for the RX. It is high-grip and tactile with buttons positioned close to the thumb tips.

HEATED SEATS (DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER) The leather seats have a heating function. The driver and front seat passenger have individual controls so that they can both find their ideal comfort levels. This adds to the sense of bespoke luxury and is especially welcome in extreme weather conditions.

SUNROOFThe electric, tilt and slide, glass sunroof lets the desired amount of light and air into the cabin. One-touch control is quick and convenient, while a manual sunblind provides shade as desired.

UPGRADED CENTRE CONSOLEThis features an Electro Multi-Vision screen operated via Remote Touch. The full-colour screen displays navigation and other systems such as audio, climate and hybrid energy monitor.

ACTIVE BRAKE LIGHTSRear light clusters feature an array of LEDs to ensure the RX is highly visible to following traffic. When braking heavily, the brake lights – including the high-level centre LED stop lamp – pulse rapidly to provide an effective warning to following vehicles.

AUTO-RETRACTABLE AND DIMMINGThe heated door mirrors can be folded in electrically to help negotiate narrow spaces and, when parked, there is less risk of damage. Electro chromatic technology also dims the mirrors to prevent the risk of being dazzled by following traffic.

SEAT ADJUSTMENTBoth front seats are electrically adjustable using switches located on the side of the seat base, which provides the perfect seating position.

REAR SEATFor your convenience the rear seats can be manually split 60/40.

SEAT MEMORYAll RX models are fitted with multiple electric seat adjustments, drivers can use the memory function to save their ideal driving position.

CORNERING LAMPSThe cornering lamp provides additional illumination in the direction of travel, at the sides, and ensure excellent pedestrian visibility.

ALL-WHEEL DRIVEStay in control and in style with the available Traction Control all-wheel drive. This intelligent system monitors road conditions in real time, automatically shifting engine power between front and rear axles, while 100% of the power goes to the front wheels during normal driving conditions for improved efficiency.

The Lexus Distance Plans give you and all Lexus owners peace of mind and fixed–cost motoring. The Lexus Distance Plans are fully supported and approved by Toyota SA Motors. The Lexus Distance Plans are designed to give you, the motorist, a value-added product that supports your needs by containing motoring costs. Lexus Distance Plans offer all customers access to service at any Lexus dealership in South Africa and Lexus dealerships in our neighbouring countries, i.e. Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.

The Lexus Distance Plans cover all your normal operating condition services up to 4 years/100 000 km. All servicing must be carried out according to the specified service intervals stipulated in the vehicle’s Book of Life to ensure that the Distance Plan and the vehicles warranty remains valid.

All Lexus owners have an option to upgrade the Lexus Distance Plans. Lexus offers our customers various options in terms of choice of cover, depending on individual requirements.

INCEPTION DATE OF PLAN

The inception date of the Lexus Distance Plans will be the same as the vehicle’s warranty inception date. The same will apply to all demonstration vehicles sold by a Lexus dealership.

WHAT DOES THE LEXUS DISTANCE PLAN COVER?Covered:• All manufacturer–specified services (normal

schedule) up to 4 years/100 000 km, which ever occurs first (*1).

WHAT DOES THE LEXUS DISTANCE PLAN PLUS COVER?Covered:• All manufacturer–specified services (normal

schedule) up to 4 years/ 100 000 km, whichever occurs first (*2).

• Front disc brake pads (limited to 5 sets).• Rear disc brake pads (limited to 3 sets).

WHAT DOES THE LEXUS DISTANCE PLAN COMPLETE COVER?Covered:• All manufacturer–specified services (normal

schedule) up to 4 years/100 000 km whichever comes first.

• Mechanical components – repaired or replaced due to normal wear and tear.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE LEXUS DISTANCE PLANS?Not Covered:• Obtaining fuel• Engine top-up oil and other lubricants and service

items required between routine servicing of the vehicle

• Tyres, wheel alignment and wheel balancing• (*1) Maintenance repairs of wearing items for

Distance Plan (e.g. brakes, clutch, exhaust, battery, etc.)

• (*2) Maintenance repairs or wearing items for Distance Plan Plus (e.g. brake discs, brake callipers, clutch, exhaust, battery, etc.)

• Non-Lexus–approved additives • Paint/body/trim repairs • Accessories • Unreasonable requests• Alterations and modifications • Driver abuse/negligence or unreasonable use

including any form of competition

• Insurance–related claims and repairs • Accident damage • Rattles and squeaks • Cleaning of fuel system • Cracked or broken glass • Expenses incurred at non-Lexus dealers • Flood, riot, weather and fire damage • Engine tuning • Repairs or damage as a result of non-

compliance with service requirements or warranty obligations

• Damage incurred through the vehicle having been driven with insufficient engine lubricants or coolant

• Any claims arising outside the borders of South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland or Botswana

• Items requiring replacement as a result of severe operating conditions will be for the customer’s account. The severe operating schedule is not covered in any of the Distance Plans
