Luwu Timur Regency is geographically located at coordinates between 20 15 ‘00’ - 30 South Latitude and 1200 30 ‘00’ to

1210 30 ‘00 ‘East Longitude. The area of East Luwu Regency is 664,686.68 ha or 6,646.87 km2. East Luwu Regency, which is mostly in the Verbeck Mountains region, is an area with mountainous geographies. This area is nicknamed “the land of three lakes”, because of the uniqueness of the existence of 3 (three) large lakes in the eastern part of its territory, this district is also referred to as “the land of three lakes”. While August and September with lower rainfall are considered as dry months.
