Luna Catalog 2007

Luna Guitars is a fairly new guitar company founded by Yvonne de Villiers. The inspiration for Luna came out of a desire to produce beautiful instruments that fit the geometry of female players. In the few years since it started Luna has grown into an internationally known company with a srong following of both men and women. Each instrument is truely a work of art that not only transcends gender, but feels mythic and timeless.Case study: Yvonne came to Still Room looking for a catalog design that acted not only as a standard catalog, but as an element to uphold the mystique of Luna. With that in mind, a concept for the catalog blossomed into an antique inspired illuminated book, complete with the goddesses that influenced some of the instruments and ornate frameworks surrounded by beautiful quotations.
