And despitepercept ions o f c r imeridden subways in April2014 we obtained crimestats from the MetropolitanPolice for incidents loggedin the three years to May2013 above ground within50m of the roundaboutand those in the subways:978 incidents occurred atsurface level and 19 in thesubways during this time.
Currently:Subway crossing is verycomplicated, confusingand unsafePedestrian journeys 10%slower overallR o a d j o u r n e y s 1 7 %slower overall.
