Greetings Sorors,

It has been a honor and privilege to serve as your Basileus for the past two years. This

journey began at my first meeting when I talked about what I would take from each

Basileus that came before me, I talked about my vision, our values, the mission we

would take and lastly, I told you what my charge would be. I knew coming in “The

Dream was Easy, but The Journey Would Not Be” and that before I could blink an

eye, all the good times and bad would be behind me. Nevertheless, when I got to this

position two years ago, I never imagined how connected I would be to such a warm,

loving and caring chapter. We have overcome so many trail’s and tribulations and as a

result we are a bigger and better chapter equipped, ready, prepared and headed for

new and greater heights in the New Year. I am excited and will be forever grateful for

the experience I have enjoyed over the past two years. Some people judge their lives

on what they do, others on who they are. I want my life judged on the friends I keep,

and how enriched I am from just knowing each of you.

Lastly, to see all of you seated before me on December 14, 2013, for the last time, was

a picture I will treasure for a very long time. To my administrative team, officers and

committee chairmen, we could not have succeeded as a chapter without you. Thank

you from the bottom of my heart. You exceeded my expectations and there is over-

whelming evidence of our hard work as a team. Thank you for all of your hard work

and for supporting me as your Basileus during 2012-2013. Congratulations Soror Jan

and Soror Barbara you are a Dynamic Duo and to all new incoming officers. Hats off

to you for taking on the challenge to serve in a leadership role. May you all have a

productive and successful year.
