NOTES: 1) The use of LP SolidStart® I-Joists shall be limited to conditions of Service Class 1 and 2 per EN 1995-1-1 (Eurocode 5). 2) See notes and tables below for applicable design factors (kmod, kdef, M) when designing to EN 1995-1-1.3) Characteristic moment resistances assume lateral bracing of the compression flange at a spacing not exceeding 8 times the flange width. 4) Characteristic shear resistances assume a 38mm diameter round hole in the web (knockouts) at approximately 300mm c/c.5) Deflection calculation shall include flexural rigidity (EI) and shear rigidity (GA).6) The supporting members and connectors must be checked by the designer.7) Bearing resistance with stiffeners (WS) assumes proper installation.
