1. INTRODUCTION1.1 ATC applies special safeguards and

procedures for Low Visibility Operations that will become effective in relation to specified weather conditions. These procedures are intended to provide protection for aircraft operating in low visibility and to avoid disturbances to the ILS signals.

1.2 ATC - Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) will become effect in relation to weather conditions as specified below. Avoidance of disturbances to the ILS signals are normally achieved by providing appropriate spacing between aircraft on final approach.

2. ACTIVATION Via R/T or ATIS. “Low Visibility Procedures in operation”.

3. APPLICATION RVR for TDZ less than 600m and/or ceiling

less than 200ft.

4. PROTECTION Of ObsTACLE fREE zONE AND LOC sENsITIVE AREA

Is ensured by ATC.

5. CLEARANCE fOR APPROACH ATC issued a clearance for ILS approach

regardless of category flown.

6. MET INfORMATION6.1 Together with the approach clearance the

actual RVR values will be transmitted.

6.2 Together with the landing clearance the actual RVR values will be transmitted additionally.

7. CLEARANCE TO LAND7.1. Transmission normally prior to an ACFT

reaching 2nm from THR.

7.2 In exceptional cases transmission may be delayed until 1nm, in which case pilots will be informed accordingly.

8. REPORTs bY PILOTs “Runway Vacated” by the pilot as the ACFT

has left the yellow/green colour coded section of the exit TWY (sensitive area vacated).

9. DEACTIVATION Information via R/T and/or cancelling of

relative ATIS transmission.
