LOWER SCHOOL For an additional fee, After School Care is available for students in Pre-K through 7th grade from dismissal until 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. The program is available Monday-Friday and includes physical activity and free play on the playground, snack, access to books, homework assistance, and arts and crafts. A school like ours affords your student the opportunity to participate in dramatic arts and sports within the same season. We are dedicated to helping to create a well- rounded individual that is well-versed in presentation, team work, and finding an outlet for their creative energies as well. We offer grade-level appropriate education in dramatic arts from PreK through 12th Grade. Our current and past productions include Junie B. BRICKS 4 KIDZ Bricks for Kidz offers educational enrichment sessions where students experience hands-on engineering fundamentals, architecture, and scientific principles as they build models using LEGO Bricks. The regular program meets on Wednesdays, 3:00-4:00 and is open to students in PK-7th. The Robotics class meets on Wednesdays, 3:05-4:15 and is open to students in 4th-7th. The Robotics class combines real life skills with real kid fun, using the principles of STEM.

MINI CHEER CAMP

PIANO LESSONS DANCEOur dance program is run by RCS

parent and experienced dancer, MitziKeeley. This is a FREE program opento all lower school students, both girls

and boys. Dance class meets onMondays from 3:30-4:00. The Fallclass concludes with a Christmasperformance, and the Spring classculminates in a performance in the

school's annual talent show.

Ferguson Fitness is proud to presentan After School Warriors Class on

the Roanoke Catholic Schoolcampus on Thursdays at 3:00 PM.

The 10 week program helps studentsstrengthen their minds and bodies

and features kid-sized obstacles andcourses, a focus on active play andfun outside, and teaches the basics

of age-appropriate fitness andnutrition. Students learn teamwork

through fun challenges that promoteconfidence, strength, and tenacity. 

The Soccer Shots program meetson Tuesday afternoons from 3:10-

3:55 on the mall. The Classicgroup is for 3-5 years old and thePremier group is for 5-8 years old.

Soccer Shots aims topositively impact children byproviding an environment forlearning and growth through

intentional play.

RCS offers a bitty basketballprogram to students from K-5th

grade. It is co-ed, and our teamscompete in a league run by Vinton

Baptist Church.  We will havesignups for this league starting in

late October.  Practices will beheld in the RCS lower school gym

during the season, but all thegames will be held on Saturdays atone of the churches in Vinton that

participates in the league.

Mini cheer camp is a fun &informative camp for children grades

Pre-K3 through 7th Grade. Duringthis two day event (Saturday and

Sunday), participants will learn theins and outs of cheerleading. Fromarm motions and jumps, to cheers

and a dance, participants will get tolearn from their favorite RCS Varsity

cheerleaders! Come be a part ofcontinuing the legacy!

Piano lessons are offered afterschool and at night, Monday throughWednesday. Mrs. Deborah Barnard

offers over 26 years of teachingexperience. In addition to privateinstruction, students will have theopportunity to perform in a recital

each semester.
