Who are we? Lend a hand The benefit to you

…helping the community to save energy and generate clean power...

The Low Carbon Chilterns Co-operative

started in 2011 to work with the

managers of community buildings by helping them to improve their energy

efficiency and install renewable energy.

We raise money for these projects from

grants and local communities. We also

involve the users of the community

buildings in these improvements, and hope to inspire them to undertake

energy improvements in their own

homes.

In a very practical way, we want to

reduce the carbon emissions in the

Chilterns, and do our bit to improve

energy security, as well as to make life better in our own communities.

We all use our local community buildings

– community centres, village halls,

schools – but they can waste energy and be too hot or too cold.

Interested in helping your community become more energy efficient? Then

please give us a call.

..and there is a lot more to this than just

solar panels… We are looking at the

whole building including its insulation,

lighting and heating systems. Have you thought of a biomass boiler or maybe a

wind turbine in the playing field? This is

energy saving & generation that the

whole community can own….

We are looking for buildings that can benefit from a complete energy make-

over.

The new investment will make your community building or school cheaper

to run and more comfortable to be in.

Would your community building or

school like to benefit from these new

investments?

Being a Co-operative we are owned by

our members. The people running this

co-op are members and volunteers. Would you like to help?
