• She Joined the Sisters of Charity in 1866
LOCATIONThis event occurred in Lourdes, France.
HOW IT HAPPENED • Bernadette and her sister, Toinette,
and a neighbour friend, Jeanne Abadie, went to the river Gave to gather wood.
• She was scared she was going to have an asthma attack
• When Bernadette was alone she heard a gust of wind
HOW IT HAPPENED• They had walked to Massabielle • Then she heard the same sound
again and she looked at the grotto and saw a beautiful lady in a white dress
• The lady signaled that she should come closer
HOW IT HAPPENED• Then Bernadette bends down on her
knees, takes out her rosary, and made the sign of the cross
• But she cannot do this until Lady has made the sign of the cross
• This vision last for about 15 minutes
