He was confined in the regimental hospital four months with cholera and hiccoughs. In 1868, whilesta- tioned in front of Stafford 0. 11., he was given a ten days' fiirlongh. returning promptly at end of time, lie was detailed in the Corps headquarters at Atlanta and remained there until the war close<l,and wasgiven his discharge June 18, 1865. Dec. 4,1865, at Lllicottville. N. Y., he was united in marriage to Ro<lolplia Rickards, daughter of Nelson and Roxelana (Talbot) Rickards. Y. when the war arose, lie enlisted June, 1868, in Co.iC, 146th N. Y. V. I.,2d Brig., 2d Div., 5th A. C\s a private.
