Both mums and bubs are doing really well. Miss Martins will also be leaving us this Friday to start her maternity leave. We wish her well and can’t wait to hear her exciting news in a few weeks. It is with some sadness and excitement that I am taking an extended holiday and will be taking long service leave for the first 7 weeks of Term 2. Sad, because I will miss everyone, but also excited at the opportunity to travel. In my absence Mrs Natasha Zeremes will be Principal from Monday – Thursday and Miss Lana Williams will be Principal on a Friday. I can’t let this week go by without mentioning the horrific tragedy that happening in Christchurch last Friday. Our thoughts and prayers go to all the people who have been impacted. On Wednesday our School Captains Reannah and Jazmin visited the local mosque and lay flowers on behalf of all students and staff at Granville South PS. It was very touching and I am extremely proud of the girls. Thank you to Reannah for the suggestion. . Sports Report Well done to all the students that participated in the rugby league legends carnival on the 14th March. All students were safe and respectful and represented our school with pride. Just a reminder that students need to ensure they have their hat and water with them at all games. Despite going into the cooler months, it is still very hot out, under the sun. Ms Shahrouk PSSA Coordinator On the 8th March, Granville South softball team played Guildford West and both teams won their matches. The boys won by 12 points and the girls beat Guildford West by 4 point. Congratulations. By Ahmed Abbas On Friday the 8th of March, The PSSA Basketball teams played Auburn West Public school. Congratulations to Bilal A and Merveh who represented Auburn at the Sydney West Swimming Carnival on last week. They should both be extremely proud of their amazing effort. They both achieved personal bests in the freestyle event.
