Bigger, Better Teeth

For ___________

The idea of losing baby teeth…

Page 2: Loose teeth

I used to be a baby.

Everyday, I am growing.

Page 3: Loose teeth

When I was born, I didn’t have any teeth.

Page 4: Loose teeth

I drank milk and could not eat any food.

Page 5: Loose teeth

Then, my body grew tiny teeth for my tiny mouth.

Page 6: Loose teeth

These teeth are called “baby teeth”.

Page 7: Loose teeth

I learned to eat cookies, carrots and sandwiches with

my baby teeth.

Page 8: Loose teeth

Guess what! My body has a surprise for me!

Page 9: Loose teeth

My body is growing.

My mouth is growing.

I need bigger teeth for my bigger mouth.

Page 10: Loose teeth

The new teeth are hiding behind my gums.

Page 11: Loose teeth

When the better, bigger

teeth are ready, they will push out my baby

teeth.

Page 12: Loose teeth

This will happen to one tooth at a time.

• One day, a baby tooth will get pushed out.

• Then, there will be a hole.

• Then, a better, bigger tooth will come in.

Page 13: Loose teeth

I can feel a hole where the tooth was with my tongue.

Soon, a better bigger tooth will grow in its place.

People have feelings about “baby teeth”.

• Some people feel excited about getting new teeth.

• Some people feel nervous.

• Some people save their tiny “baby teeth”.

Page 15: Loose teeth

Baby teeth get loose before they come out.

• Some people wiggle their loose teeth.

• Some people ignore their loose teeth.

Page 16: Loose teeth

• Will I wiggle my loose baby tooth?

• Where will I put my baby tooth when it comes out?

These are great questions!
