1 NEWSLETTER FAMILY BBQ, & YEAR 6 GRADUATION On Thursday 15th December at 6.00pm we will be having a wonderful celebraon evening for the whole school community. Something for everyone on this evening! We will commence with a BBQ, then onto the Year 6 Graduaon ceremony. Cooking will commence at 5.30pm. For catering purposes, please fill out the form on Page 4. Parking for the evening will be on the school oval. Please enter via Ellio’s driveway beside the school. There will be ‘parking’ signs erected for parents to follow. Please do not park in the school carpark. GRADUATION This year we have 11 students graduang from Nilma Primary School being: Charloe Brown, Ryan Cane, Mitch Chesterfield, Bailey Dent, Teagan George, Mitchell Gilmore, Riley Kleeven, Ella Perry, Kiara Perry, Kiandra Polglaze & Sabrina Thompson. The Year 6 Graduaon Dinner will be held on Monday 19th December. Permission forms have been sent home and must be returned by next Tuesday 13th December 2016. CHRISTMAS RAFFLE Aached to the newsleer last week were Raffle Books . The raffle will be drawn at the end of year BBQ and Year 6 Graduaon evening on Thursday 15th December. Tickets will be selling for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The prizes include giſt vouchers, accommodaon vouchers and hampers. More raffle ckets are available from the office and raffle ckets can also be purchased on the night. We are asking if parents are able to donate a small giſt for our Hamper. Donaons for the hamper can be made at the office or given to the Homegroup teacher. END OF YEAR REPORTS Teachers have been working extremely hard to present to you evidence of your child’s learning over the past semester. You will see that the reports have essenally two parts. One part is the benchmarking and teacher based comments, ie, dot points and comments about the way your child has gone about his or her learning. The other part is the evidence of their learning shown through their porolio. These pieces will contain photos, student comments and teacher comments. These can be accessed through Sentral. We are offering parents the opportunity to come into school next week, either Wednesday aſternoon from 2pm or Wednesday night from 7pm- 8pm, to use our computers and also the staff support to access your child’s porolio. GIFT WRAPPING SERVICE Students in the Yellow Home Group have
been busy making decorative Bonbons and gift tags ready for our Christmas Gift
Wrapping Fundraiser.
The attached flyer outlines the details of the dates and times when we will be offering
this service to the local community.
As a leadership role, Grade six students are invited to attend and assist with the gift
wrapping and customer service.
We welcome others to volunteer some of their time to help with the gift wrapping or to come down and support our fundraiser.
Come along and make a gold coin donation to get your Christmas ‘All Wrapped up!’.
Permission forms were sent home with the newsletter last week and must be brought
back to school by Friday 9th December.

The whole school BBQ and Year 6 Graduation will be held at Nilma PS on Thursday 15th December, starting at 6.00pm. For catering purposes, please return the attendance slip below.
This will support the Parent & Friends Club in providing enough food for everyone. The BBQ is free, however drinks will be sold for $1.00 each.
We will also require some helpers on the night, to help with the BBQ, selling raffle tickets, setting up, selling drinks and packing up. If you are able to help, please return the reply slip below.

WATERING ROSTER Watering Roster for Summer Holidays
Are you able to help out with watering our garden over the school holidays? If you are able to help, please put your name beside the week you are available. The garden only needs to be watered on the days that it doesn’t rain. Volunteers will be shown where the hoses and other accessories needed are kept prior to their watering week.
