Lookbook S/S 12

For Spring/Summer 2012, Liz Black presents her second RTW collection, Ready to Board. This season Liz moves away from the circular, fluid shapes of her Autumn/Winter 2011/12 collection Concentric Thoughts, to explore sharper ways of defining the Liz Black woman. For the warmer months, the female frame possesses the same significance as before, but with a new strength applied to the hip, emphasising the motion and drive of the busy woman as she struts through the city, or highlighting her sexuality and regality when still. Ready to Board takes much inspiration from the modern glass and metal architecture of Zaha Hadid, luxurious leather luggage and goods, angular design and interiors and the dynamic design work of Markus Benesch – along with the many ideas attached to the concepts of movement, power, travel and speed.
