ILT Strategy Questions 1. Vision – where does the organisation want to be in, say, three years’ time
as regards e-learning and e-maturity (of the whole organisation) generally; 2. Context – any local/regional/national strategic factors that may affect what
your organisation wants to work towards and how it does so; 3. Management – how will the strategy be managed, to ensure it stays on
track and achieves objectives that support the organisation’s overall strategic aims; 4. Supporting teaching and learning – what are the critical elements of e-
learning/ILT (inc understanding of new pedagogies, staff training) that need to be covered;
5. Infrastructure/connectivity – do you have what you need to achieve your overall objectives, and how are you going to put it in place if you haven’t;
6. Implementation Plan – details of who does what, by when, with what resources, in the first year;
7. Budget – how much has been allocated, is it enough – if it isn’t, will the objectives be tailored to fit the funds or will extra (external?) funding be sought.
