Usually, the May Bank Holiday weekend is on a Monday and Tuesday.

In our Jacobite project, we learnt about propaganda, which is information released by Governments or companies to encourage the public to think a certain way. Sometimes propaganda is viewed as a good thing and sometimes as a bad thing. Pick one poster. What is the message of the poster? How does the picture make you look
at the poster? The poster uses ‘a bossy voice’ to give instructions.
Pick one poster and rewrite the slogan. Pick one poster. List all the ways it persuades you to
follow the message.
Re-create one of the posters using your own drawing and slogan.

We will continue to learn about Surrealism as part of the National Galleries Schools Art Competition. Remember, our theme is Magical Creatures and Fierce Monsters! Below is a game to create a brand-new mythical creature which you can play alone or with your family. All you need is a something to draw with and a dice!
Have you noticed that when you do exercise, your heart beats faster? Put your hand over the left side of your chest and you can feel your heart pumping. At the time of WW2, Britain had an Empire, which meant it had invaded and now ruled other countries.
Soldiers from countries of the Empire fought for Britain in WW2, such as:
• India (which at the time included Pakistan and Bangladesh)
• Canada
• Zimbabwe
• New Zealand
• Australia
Pick one of these countries to research and make a fact-file with.
