Christians celebrate this festival on 25th December. People give cards and presents to their friends and family. They have a big meal with their families on 25th December.
This is a Christian festival. It is in March or April, on Sunday. People give chocolate eggs to children, and to friends and family.
This festival is on 31st October. Children knock on your door and say ‘trick or treat’. You can give them some sweets. People buy pumpkins, cut faces in them and put a candle inside.
This is the Hindu festival of lights. It is in October or November. People light special lamps, wear new clothes and give sweets to friends and family.
In Britain we celebrate this day in March or April. Children give flowers or presents to their mothers. Sometimes they help their mothers with the housework.
This is a Muslim festival. It comes at the end of Ramadan, the time of fasting for Muslim people. People wear their best clothes and go to the mosque. After the mosque they visit friends and relatives.
We celebrate this festival at midnight on December 31st. People usually have parties and watch fireworks. Some people drink champagne.
