Forewords We’d both like to welcome you to the second London Leadership Recognition Awards.
After the success of our inaugural awards last year, it’s great to be hosting the awards for a second year to celebrate and reward some of the incredible leaders at all levels across NHS organisations in London.
We received fantastic nominations across a breadth of healthcare organisations in London, and it’s heartening to see that leadership, and the difference it can make, is recognised as a priority during a time of increasing pressures on NHS resources. This is especially important in London due to the incredibly complex environment that healthcare leaders in capital are working in.
The variety of work that is being done to improve healthcare leadership, and ultimately patient care, made it a very difficult task for our panels to shortlist and select this year’s winners and we hope you will leave this evening feeling inspired, motivated and brimming with ideas to take back to your organisations!
We look forward to continuing our work with healthcare organisations across London to improve NHS leadership across all levels and, in preparation for next year’s business plan, we have revisited our priorities to ensure our focus aligns with the needs of those delivering frontline care.
However, tonight is all about our nominees – we hope you enjoy hearing their stories and join us in wishing them all the best of luck.

NHS LONDON LEADERSHIP RECOGNITION AWARDS
Congratulations to everyone who has been nominated for a regional NHS Leadership Recognition Award – we are proud to celebrate your continued hard work, perserverance and positive impact that you clearly have on those around you. You have each shown outstanding leadership qualities that have inspired your colleagues and teams and it is a privilege to hear more about how you are all working towards improved patient care. The NHS Leadership Academy aims to develop great leaders at all levels of the health system and the Recognition Awards give us a brilliant opportunity to profile people at every level, in every organisation, who both champion our beliefs and values and who also go the extra mile to motivate their peers and provide an excellent service to our patients. Well done again for your nomination, and thank you to those who made the nominations – you are all helping us to highlight, through some extremely high quality examples, some of the fantastic people we have working across health and social care. Sending you all my best wishes in this very competitive process and I look forward to seeing those of you who go through to the national final in March next year. Enjoy your night.
