Buses in Belize
• Buses are a common form of transportation in Belize. However, bus schedules,
fairs and routes can be confusing at first.
• There is a main bus terminal in each district.
• The “Regular Bus” makes frequent stops to pick up passengers at bus stops.
• The “Express Bus” does not make frequent stops. (Better Option)
• Tickets are sometimes sold at bus station. However, common practice is to get to
the bus station and simply board the bus.
• Signs indicating intended destination are posted in the front window.
• Expect to be a little confused. Can be crowded. Keep your luggage within sight.
• Fares are often collected by a “conductor” once you board the bus.
