The vehicle will transform into the node of a network allowing the access to a wide series of information and services for sustainable mobility, comfort and safety.
The Driver is part of the challenge. His cooperation should be supported by new and flexible HMI devices
Telematics cooperates helping the driver by reconstructing the vehicle environment for a safer and efficient drive

•Electronic Horizon Virtual Sensor• The road scenario prevision (by Car Navigator – next 5 route segments); based on data coming from ADAS maps or, in the future, from V2X communication
• Optimal (green) speed (Navigator)• Choosing the best compromise between CO2 emissions reduction and a longer travelling time(the permitted Legal speed is the maximum value)
• Optimal (green) gear selections• Choosing the best gear ratio in order to maximize the engine efficiency
• Advanced Stop&Start & Free Wheeling• Join the cut-off phase to engine and car Stop state by coasting in freewheeling mode (driveline disconnection)
• Kinetic Energy Eco Modulation Strategy• The car kinetic energy aids the Engine On/Off control strategy to keep the speed vehicle in a target range (using the Cruise Control)

EasyRider: strategic objectives
Strategic Objectives: avoid the fragmentation of actual initiatives at National level about Infomobility and Road Safety transforming, within the project and jointly with other financed projects, competition incompetitiveness:
• Share the communication standards among on-board platform and roadside units to supply services in order to promote the growth, increase effectiveness/reliability and so speed up the use.
• Identify ICT solutions allowing “real time” communication between two vehicles and among vehicles and infrastructure (street side and service centre)
• Share extended innovation initiatives based on assets of the national supply chain (e.g. Safety, toll collection, traffic data collection, prevention e maintenance, V2X communication, …)
