Special thanks to the nearly two dozen Locations volunteers who pitched in to help refresh our Ka Pa Ola Facility.
CFS Ka Pa Ola Program
• Ka Pa Ola provides an alternative school environment and supportive services for adolescent girls undergoing counseling for mental health, emotional and behavioral issues.
• Program Philosophy: To help these
young ladies to identify and develop their own strengths and resources so they have a better opportunity to make a successful transition into adulthood.

Your Support Makes a Difference
We created a place that is welcoming and nurturing, allowing the teenage girls to feel more at ease and heal from trauma they have experienced.
A therapeutic, family-centered environment is also beneficial for their families who may also seek counseling through the program.
Foundation funds also enabled us to purchase new bedding, household furniture and other supplies needed to further enhance the home.

Strengthening Families and Fostering the Healthy Development of Children
Established in 1899, Child & Family Service is one of Hawaii’s oldest and largest nonprofits,
providing counseling and therapeutic services to help Hawaii’s families address serious life
challenges such as poverty, abuse, and neglect. Our nearly 50 community programs serve all
ages and include preschool education, child abuse and neglect prevention, programs for at-risk
youth, domestic violence emergency services, therapeutic counseling, employment assistance,
and programs for elder care.
