From the library page: http://www.lib.uct.ac.za/ From ‘Search & Find ’ choose ‘Databases’

Choose ‘Web of Science”

Page 4: Locating one's h index in web of science

• Select the “Web of Science Core Collection” from the drop down tab• From the ‘Basic Search’ drop down arrow choose Author Search

Page 5: Locating one's h index in web of science

• Enter Author name• Click on ‘Select Research Domain’

Page 6: Locating one's h index in web of science

• Tick the relevant box for Research Domain• Click ‘Select Organization’

Page 7: Locating one's h index in web of science

• Choose the relevant organization(s) associated with the author• Click ‘Finish Search’

Page 8: Locating one's h index in web of science

Click on ‘Create Citation Report’

Page 9: Locating one's h index in web of science

• The h-index is located in “Results found”• Remove unwanted items from list below by

checking the box and clicking GO
