Local NaNoWriMo Events!Thursday, October 31 @ Midnight @ IHOP (2654 E Rte 66) - NaNo Kick-Off Writing party:Start NaNoWriMo off right - up all hours of the night, full of coffee, and in costume.All are welcome to celebrate another year of NaNoWriMo. When the clock strikesMidnight, we create words. Good luck to all the challengers! Friday, November 1 @ 12 PM @ Lowell - Lowell Observatory Write In: First hour pizza,soda, salad. Then we will hunker down to write by 1 pm. There will be some Word Warsand a Writing Prompt. Saturday, November 2 @ 3 PM @ Downtown Library - Join our writer in residence, jennguyer, for A Writer's Toolbox: struggling with writer’s block? staring at a blank page?come explore a toolbox of ideas to overcome that writer's block. We will have freshideas, help for those trying to get started with NaNo, and tips for picking up thatproject you've been avoiding. if you have tools to share, bring them with you! Every Monday @ 1:30 @ The Literacy Center (2500 N Rose St) - Literacy Center Write In:Share the ups and downs of creating your story with other writers. This is a fairlysubdued venue that will work well for the easily distracted. Every Tuesday and Friday @ Noon @ The Downtown Library - Writers Who Lunch: Joinus to write and talk writing at the writers' table in the Northwest Corner. Every Tuesday @ 6 PM @ Bookmans - NaNoWriMo Write In: Meet other writers, find a writing buddy, and write, Write, WRITE! Bring a computer and a viking hat or just penand paper. Participate in Word Wars to force yourself to write at your peak speed. Every Thursday @ Noon @ The East Flagstaff Community Library - East Side Writers:Meet with Writer in Residence, Jenn Guyer, to write and talk about writing on the EastSide! Not only can you write and writeand write with word sprints and secret word challenges, you can participate in theslam by telling stories of "home," or listen to others' tell their tales for some addedinspiration. Saturday, November 9, 16 & 23 @ 9 AM @ NAU Cline Library - Cline Library Write-In: Graba cup of coffee and write all morning with other NaNoWriMo-ers. From the ClineLibrary main entrance, walk straight back past the restrooms to the wall with the signthat says, Student Technology Center, then go through the door on your right.
