'The Art of Breguet''The Time Museum Series' presented by TheTime Museum, Rochford, Illinois, United Statesof America:Daniels interviewed by Seth G Atwood.
Marked 'George Daniels 1'
21 Thornsett Road, Bromley. Sitting room:Atwood greeted by wife Julie (Juliet AnnDaniels). George Daniels highlights Breguet'slife born in Switzerland moving to Paris, Franceaged 15. Breguet's workers regarded as artists,he had ability to extract the best work fromthem. Respect between English and Frenchmakers: Breguet and John Arnold hadreciprocal arrangements for both their sons.Breguet had 100 people working for him duringhis life time, many became celebrated makersin their own right.Discussions include: Breguet's marinechronometers, a luxury item in France; thecarriage clock was invention by Breguet andDaniels shows a highly complex three-wheelSkeleton Clock Breguet replica he made withthe full agreement and approval of Breguet,Paris; Breguet wanting to prove himself thesupreme master produces the SympathetiqueTable Clock incorporating pocket watch - theClock itself winds and adjusts the pocket watch.Breguet's products prove to be the mostdesirable collectables with ever increasingvalues. Unique horologist and great inspirationto Daniels.

'Seth G Atwood calls on George Daniels''The Time Museum Series' presented by TheTime Museum, Rochford, Illinois, United Statesof America:Daniels interviewed by Seth G Atwood.
Marked 'George Daniels 2'
21 Thornsett Road, Bromley. Discussing thewatch Daniels will be making for Atwood. Thewatch with two wheel trains and IndependentDouble-Wheel Escapement (Daniels' ownescapement) [watch completed 1976].
The look is important and this watch includesinnovations in precision time-keeping not donebefore. Design evolves as it is produced withoutcomprehensive precision drawings. This will bea self-starting watch unlike any self-startingwatch. The watch is key-wound to provide theowner with the job of opening the watch to windit. Daniels says: 'If the owner has not the peaceof mind to do this, he does not deserve thewatch'.
Filming continues with views of the workshop, demonstrating wheel cutting, pantographtrepanning from brass sheet, engine turning onRose engine, demonstrating advantages of in-house capability of producing the entire watch.Abrupt ending without credits
Produced and directed by Barnet SaidmanFRPS.
