Foxes Little League Netball – Fair Play Charter for Managers Foxes Little League is organised and run by parent and Club volunteers who wish to provide the opportunity for girls to learn, play and most of all enjoy netball regardless of their ability. The concept of Little League seeks to ensure fairness in the selection of teams, also not just to reward winning, but equally recognise the importance of trying, improvement, enthusiasm and above all fair play. All those wishing to participate in Foxes Little League – parents, players, managers and officials – must sign up to this concept. All players must play at least half a match Never leave the same players off each match Each player should play the same number of half matches and full matches as any other player Players must be rotated, especially if the team is leading by 5 goals or more Avoid over-playing the talented players. The just average players need and deserve equal time. Be sensitive to the less talented Develop respect for the ability of opponents, as well as for the judgement of officials and opposing coaches Create opportunities to teach a positive sporting attitude, just as you would in teaching the basic skills Ensure that efforts for skill improvement and fair play are rewarded by praise Never criticize or ridicule a player – this is against our Child Protection Policy Support the opposition Never question the umpires decision, if there is something that you do not understand ask after the match Do not collaborate with parents who wish to criticize the opposition/other managers/the umpiring/the organisation etc. Remember whilst you are part of the committee you respect Foxes Little League Netball and must therefore remain professional in behaviour and attitude at all times.
