Prairie Grove Peddler Christmas Blooms Using the Winter Wonderland fabric line from Benartex, Inc.
The table runner measures approximately 14” x 30”
Materials Needed: 1/3 yard of red/green fabric for border/ binding #4655-10 Green/Red
1/4 yard of red for sashing #4656-19 Claret 1/8 yard medium green fabric #4654-44 Green
2” strip of dark green fabric #2272-43 Sage 2” strip of dark red fabric #2272-19 Claret
2” strip of gold fabric #4653-33 Gold One half yard backing fabric
Please read all of the instructions before beginning this pattern. Some things need to be done in certain order.
All seams are 1/4" and included in the cutting directions. All sewing is done with right sides together.
Cutting Directions
Sewing directions- Using the Quick Triangle Method (QTM) 1. Draw a line diagonally across the back of all of the
medium green 1-1/2” squares. See a. 2. Lay the square with right sides together on one side of the
red 1-1/2” x 2-1/2” and sew across the drawn line. 3. Press the seam open. See diagram b. 4. Cut off the excess on back if desired. 5. Sew this strip to the left side of a medium green 2-1/2” square. See c.

Border fabric- 2 2-1/2” x WOF 2 2-1/2” x WOF (binding) Red sashing fabric- 2 1-1/2” x WOF 12 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” (long petals)
Alternate dark red fabric 12 1-1/2” x 2-1/2” (petals)
Dark green fabric- 24 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” 12 1-1/2” squares
Medium green fabric- 12 2-1/2” squares 12 1-1/2” squares
Gold fabric- 12 1-1/2” squares (flower center pinwheels)

Prairie Grove Peddler Christmas Blooms Sewing directions continued- 6. Sew the dark green 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” strip across
the bottom. See d. 7. Sew another dark green 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” strip
to the right side. See e. 8. Using the QTM, sew a gold 1-1/2” square to
the left side of the red 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” strip. See f. 9. Sew a medium green 1-1/2” square
to the right side of the same red 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” strip. See g.
10. Sew this to the top of the previous section. See h.
11. Repeat #1-#10 for 12 corners in all. 12. Assemble the four corners into
three different blocks as shown. 13. See i. 14. Sew each block together. 15. Line up the three blocks and sew together matching the seams.
Sashing- 16. Sew one red sashing strip down each long. Press the seams as you go. 17. Trim the excess to match the three blocks. 18. Use the remaining partial sashing strips and sew each across the ends. 19. Press again and trim the excess.
Border-
20. Sew one border strip down each long side and trim. Press as you go. 21. Sew the remainder of each border strip across the ends and trim the excess. 22. Lay the pieced top on a layer of batting and backing fabric. 23. Quilt by hand or machine. 24. Sew the binding strips end to end, making a continuous strip
of binding for the runner. Measure at least 92”. 25. Fold in half lengthwise, with right sides out, and press flat. 26. Pin around the edge of the pieced top with the raw edges to the outside
edge of the runner. 27. Sew the binding face down to the top of the pieced top, miter each corner.
28. Overlap the ends. Fold over to the back, pin, and hand-stitch on the
back of the runner.

Snow Flowers Cutting Directions-
Sewing directions- Using the Quick Triangle Method (QTM) 1. Draw a line diagonally across the back of the dark
green 1-1/2” squares. See a. 2. Lay the square with right sides together on one side of the
medium tan 1-1/2” x 2-1/2” and sew across the drawn line. Press the seam open. See b.
3. Cut off the excess on back if desired. 4. Sew this strip to the left side of the dark
green 2-1/2” square. See c. 5. Sew the medium green 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” strip
across the bottom. See d. 6. Sew another medium green 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” strip to
the right side. See e. 7. Using the QTM, sew a dark tan 1-1/2” square to
the left side of the cream 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” strip. See f. below. 8. Sew a medium green 1-1/2” square to the right side of the
same cream 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” strip. See g. 9. Sew the strip to the top of the previous section. See h. 10. Repeat for 12 corner sections in all. 11. Assemble four corners into a block and
sew together. See i. Repeat for 9 blocks total. 12. Line up three blocks in each row and sew the three
rows together matching the seams. Sashing- 13. Sew one light tan sashing strip down each side. Press the seams as you go. 14. Trim the excess on both sides to match the blocks. 15. Use the remaining sashing strips to sew across
the top and bottom. Press again and trim the excess. Borders:- 16. Sew one border strip down each side and trim. 17. Sew the remaining border strips across the top and bottom & trim. 18. Lay the pieced quilt top on batting and backing fabric & quilt. 19. Sew the binding end to end, making a continuous strip. Measure at least 130”. 20. Fold in half lengthwise, with right sides out, and press flat. 21. Pin around the edge of the pieced top with the raw edges to the outside edge of the quilt. 22. Sew the binding face down to the top of the pieced top, miter each corner.
23. Overlap the ends. Fold over to the back, pin, and hand-stitch on the back of the quilt.
