(CTS 10 MINUTE DIARY)
TWENTY SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME READ: MARK 9:38-43, 45,
47-48 MEDITATE Jesus speaks of the obstacles to faith. To
scandalise others, especially the young and weak, is wrong. But to
cut off one’s hand or tear out ones’ eye in order to avoid sin is
never the right thing to do. Christian teaching does not allow
deliberate self-harm. The real lesson here is that we should make
it a priority to avoid both sin and scandal.
LET US PRAY Lord, teach me true balance that I may know how to
avoid evil and rule out sin.
Help me to be sensitive to the situation of the other person and
do everything to assist their understanding. Amen.
ACT Treasure in your mind or even in words the good action of
someone who does not share your faith. Thank God for goodness,
whoever practices it.
THE VIGIL LAMPS WILL BURN THIS WEEK FOR:- Our Lady & St

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM We welcome OWEN ARTHUR BOARD into God’s
Family.
Congratulations to his parents Helen and Stephen. Let our
prayers accompany them on their faith journey.
After each weekday Mass/Service of the Word & Holy Communion
we will pray the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, seeking his
powerful intercession for the Church at this challenging time. St
Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle; be our safe
guard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God
rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly
Host, by the power of God cast down into hell Satan and all other
evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of
souls. Amen.
Please pray for the following who request your prayers: Tom
McNally, Francis Harris, Tim O’Sullivan, Yvonne Harris, Maria
Morgan, Elizabeth,
Rosina Bruen, Mick & Marianne Davey, Ray Cullinane, Pat
Beverley, Joan Whitton,
Gretta Cooper, Thea Boyd, Maisie Moyes, Dick Barnicott, Nick
McKenna, Pat Umney,
Nicole Price MAY THEY BE TOUCHED BY GOD’S HEALING HAND.
