Key School Rules
1. UNIFORM - College uniform must be worn between 8am and 5.30pm. During sport and co-curricular
activities (except CCF, where full CCF uniform is to be worn) pupils must wear full College tracksuit.
2. TOWN LEAVE (during the working day) - The Sixth Form are allowed town leave every day at lunchtime and
between 5.30 and 6pm if they are not involved in co-curricular activities. Years 7-11 are only allowed town
leave on a Wednesday afternoon between 3.30 - 5pm. All pupils must wear full College uniform or tracksuit
in town.
3. ABSENCE – Pupils must inform their teachers and Form Tutors if they are going to be absent from lessons
and their HM if they are going to be absent from College.
4. APPEARANCE – Pupils are expected to look respectable at all times and follow uniform protocols.
5. BEHAVIOUR – Good manners are expected of all pupils. Poor behaviour or lack of punctuality will be
challenged. The Rewards and Sanctions system will deal with incidents of this nature.
6. LESSONS & PREP– Pupils must be punctual for lessons. Set work and prep should be neatly presented and
handed in on time. Books, equipment and other materials should be properly cared for.
7. FOOD - Chewing gum is not allowed in College. Food and drink should not be taken out of The Great Hall.
Pupils should not eat or drink whilst walking around town.
8. BULLYING – Bullying is not tolerated at Llandovery College. The College’s anti-bullying policy applies at all
times.
9. PDA – Public Shows of Affection between pupils are not permitted at any time.
10. VISITING HOUSES - Pupils may visit each other’s Houses only at designated times and they must sign in.
When House visiting, boys and girls may not visit each other’s bedrooms or dormitories and may only meet
in the designated Common Rooms with the permission of the HM.
11. Mobile phones/ iPods can only be used at the discretion of staff in all College buildings during lesson times.
The use of mobile phones is not permitted in The Great Hall, or Library.
