A. No. AIM’s over-all policy on freight and shipment charges is revenue neutral. At AIM we continue to be quoted increased freight charges even when fuel prices may drop relatively.

Q. What causes AIM product prices to increase?

A. Because AIM is dedicated to providing quality products, we strive to maintain the production of the finest raw materials. However, these unique services are associated with a higher cost, which statistically trend with an annual price increase from our vendors. Volume is one of the driving factors for negotiating costs with our vendors. In turn, we are able to offer the lowest increase on six-pack purchases. Plus, we are pleased to announce being able to continue offering volume and automatic monthly reorder (AMR) discounts to provide the BEST value!

Q. Who decides which products are discontinued?

A. AIM Members vote with their orders. As product order volume drops below an economically sustainable level, a product must be discontinued.

As we move into 2016 and beyond, we’re looking for more AIM Members to get involved in all aspects of the AIM opportunity. Let’s hear the unique success stories of how you’ve built your businesses. Please share your comments, opinions and questions as to how, together, we can make your AIM experience better than ever. In the beginning of this New Year, we now stand at the precipice of outstanding growth in the years that follow.

In Partnership for Life, AIM Member Services

The AIM Companies™ is a product- and Member-driven company. Most AIM Members tell a similar story. They got involved with AIM as a way to improve their personal health which led to providing nutritional solutions to family and friends, and (more or less) by “default,” their businesses started to grow!

At AIM, our main focus is and should be to serve Members, providing “Nutrition that Works” in the form of products, training materials and tools along with the finest logistical support in the industry.

It is so important for AIM to listen in order to best help you, the Members, so you can help others build and achieve their dreams. For example, this year The AIM Companies:

Is expanding the AIM Member Leadership Team (AMLT) to include Australia and South Africa Members.

Appointed a Member conference program planning committee from the top performers.

Is relaunching orchard peach fit ‘n fiber because demand for the product was overwhelming.

Plans for a complete rebuild of AIM’s web presence in the next few years.

Plans for more online and mobile-friendly business tools.

Is exploring options for enabling customer sales through MyAIMStore sites.

Plans to provide tools that allow Members to drive sales via social media.

Member Q&A: Q. Does AIM profit on shipping /freight

charges to Members?

Build a Business

Main Feature

4 theaimcompanies.com I 1-800-456-2462

The new year begins, and the first days of 2016 are an ideal time to not only set goals but to implement strategies to successfully achieve them. What are your goals?

Do you want to improve your health?

Would you like to lose pounds and maintain your ideal body weight?

Do you want to earn more money this year by working at something that actually helps people?

If your goals are health- or wealth-oriented, AIM can help you to make them happen.

AIM Nutritional Power for Goal Achievement

With AIM’s natural whole-food concentrates and supplements, you have the nutritional power to maintain your health. By introducing others to this wealth of health support, you also have an opportunity to build a home-based business and earn an income.

Look what you have at your disposal: the finest natural products that promote good health and offer targeted nutrition for specific conditions, including constipation, poor circulation, joint pain and high blood sugar, just to name a few.

With nutrients that provide the building materials for wellness, concentrated greens such as AIM BarleyLife® and AIM LeafGreens™ can be the foundation of any

goal to improve health. The alkalizing, detoxifying and antiinflammatory benefits of these nutritious greens begin at the cellular level and deliver whole-food nutrition for whole-body wellness. As opposed to a product that is synthesized in a laboratory and, therefore, foreign to the human body, BarleyLife and LeafGreens offer a natural multivitamin/mineral supplement made from a plant source produced by nature. As a result, these essential nutrients are accepted and easily assimilated by the body. The same can be said for the wealth of enzymes,

chlorophyll and antioxidants and the myriad of unique plant nutrients found in BarleyLife and LeafGreens.

AIM ProPeas™ contains a vegetable source of protein from green peas, providing an essential component of every human cell. The body uses protein for building and repairing tissues; for making body chemicals, enzymes and hormones; and for the building blocks of blood, bones, muscles, cartilage, and skin.

As with alkalizing greens, the vegetable source of protein in ProPeas contributes to a healthy body pH, so it offers a meat alternative. Meat has an acidifying effect on the body, and an acidic body environment literally opens the door to disease. In fact, as of October 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified the consumption of both red meat and processed meat as probably carcinogenic to humans.

Natural health products such as AIM Herbal Fiberblend® and AIM fit ’n fiber™* contribute to a high-fiber intake, which research has revealed to be a leading dietary factor in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The detoxifying properties of the fiber and herbs in Herbal Fiberblend provide a cleansing first step in health-improvement goals. Adding hunger-satisfying fit ’n fiber to a daily weight-loss routine will assist the goal of shedding unwanted pounds.

The balanced 2:1 ratio of omega-3 and-6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) in AIMega® deliver the good fats that can only come from EFA-rich food or supplements. The body cannot survive without EFAs because they are essential for the repair and function of cells. The fact that omega-3 is a vital component of every cell membrane makes it

*Apple-cinnamon fit ’n fiber is available while supplies last. Call for availability of peach fit ‘n fiber.

less surprising that they are fundamental for so many workings of the human body, including the brain, the digestive system, the eyes, the heart, the hormonal (endocrine) system, the immune system and the skin. The EFAs in AIMega come from organic seed oils such as flaxseed, one of the richest plant sources of omega-3.

All you have to do is glance through an AIM product catalogue or visit the website

to discover even more to assist you in your goals for the future. The entire AIM product line-up is available as supplemental health support for you, your family and friends. By introducing AIM benefits to others, you can become a commission-earning AIM Member. It’s a healthy win-win situation overall.

Simple Plans for Completing Goals

Motivation and willpower are necessary, but both can be short-lived. If you plan the when, where and how of your behavioral changes, you are far more likely to achieve your goals. For example, suppose you want to improve your health. Tell yourself, “Thirty minutes before every meal, I’m going

to take AIM BarleyLife.” It’s much easier to accomplish health goals by giving yourself achievable tasks.

Having back-up plans when obstacles get in the way keeps you on track with your goals. For example, tell yourself, “If I’m not at home for meals, then I’ll carry some BarleyLife Sample Packs or capsules so I never miss taking these health-improving greens.”

Believe it or not, studies confirm the effectiveness of what psychology professor Peter M. Gollwitzer calls implementation intentions—simple plans that move you around obstacles and closer to your goals.  It works for business building as well. So keep telling yourself, “Even if some people say no to AIM, I’m still going to find people who say yes to Nutrition that Works!”

Sacramento, California

I was first introduced to AIM in 2011 by my best friend’s beau, AIM Director Bill Marriott. I had heard of Bill’s health business, but I had not met him in person because both of them lived so far away. My husband and I drove thousands of miles to meet up with Bill and my best friend in Big Sky, Montana, and Bill gave me several AIM products as gifts, including Cell Wellness Restorer™ and Magnificence™. I used the Cell Wellness Restorer almost immediately for relief from mosquito bites. Wow! The itching was gone. Bill also shared his experience with the AIM products and some literature.

When I returned home, I tried BarleyLife®, CalciAIM® and some other AIM products, so I signed up and became a Member. I really liked the Cell Wellness Restorer. Adding it to baths helped me recover from aches, pains and bruises.

Sometime after that, I ended up getting hospitalized. I have a genetic predisposition (MELAS syndrome). It explained why I had struggled with my health most of my life. The condition impacts my cells, and they operate at less than half of the capacity that they’re supposed to. Many of my family members are also afflicted. This makes me prone to late onset type 1 diabetes, strokes and seizures. The hospital food wasn’t very nourishing, but with sheer determination and spiritual understanding, I had an amazingly fast recovery and was discharged.

As I delved into AIM more, I learned a lot from the AIM Academy and the webinars. From what I read, I wished I could have used more AIM products from the get-go because they may have helped me deal with many stressful situations. It was an article in Living Well that inspired me to add Renewed Balance® body cream to my daily regimen. I

had an “a-ha!” moment and decided to try it on my face. My eldest sister complimented me recently by saying “You look like a baby.” The biological clock is slowing as, technically, I am in my late forties!

At the moment, I use a full range of AIM products: Cell Wellness Restorer™, Mag-nificence™ crystals, Peak Endurance®, CalciAIM®, AIMega®, BarleyLife®, fit ‘n fiber® and Proancynol 2000®. And Red Rush® is just wonderful. Since I have type 1 diabetes, I don’t drink the whole bottle unless I haven’t had a lot of carbohydrates, but I do take what I need. It seems to help with the seizures. It’s a wonderful product.

BarleyLife is something that I take every day. I have a Master’s Degree in sustainable agriculture and have taken ongoing classes in horticulture and environmental science. I personally like that many of the AIM products are non–GMO, gluten-free, vegan and plant-based.

It’s not easy to get rid of unwanted weight and, most importantly, keep it off. Depending on how many pounds you want to take off, losing 0.5 to 2 pounds a week is a healthy goal. To achieve this, you need to burn 500 to 1,000 calories more than you consume each day.

Adopt a new lifestyle that includes more physical activity and healthy eating habits, and learn how to change your habits—one of the keys to successful weight loss.

A great habit to have is getting daily, nutritional help from the AIM Lean Team: ProPeas™ and fit ’n fiber™. The appetite-satisfying combination of protein and fiber delivers we i g ht- m a n a g e m e nt nutrients for a low-calorie, low-fat, low-sugar meal or snack in the form of a delicious shake or smoothie.

With 12 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber in one serving of the Lean Team, you can tame the hunger pangs of your worst weight-gain enemy: your appetite. These macronutrients move slowly through your digestive tract, creating that “Boy, do I feel full” feeling. And that’s an incredibly good feeling to have when you are trying not to stuff your face with calories.

Besides, you need protein for healthy musculature, and ProPeas gives you a healthy, vegetarian source from peas to build lean muscles. And you also need a high-fiber intake, not only for weight loss, but for improved

regularity and for the prevention of all kinds of chronic diseases. You want to be lean, so join this team of nutrition to help get you there.Note: The Lean Team combo of ProPeas and fit ’n fiber (peach) is available in the USA or sold separately. ProPeas and fit ’n fiber (apple-cinnamon) are available individually in Canada.

Help from the AIM Lean Team

Kristin had about 16 ounces of the Peak Endurance left in her water bottle. We gave

it to Mark, and he took a couple of sips. After a few minutes, we tried hiking some more. We rested after a few dozen steps, and Mark sipped the recovery drink again. A few dozen more steps, a few more sips and more rest. After a few stops, a minute of hiking between stops became five minutes—then ten—then twenty. Mark did the last mile without resting. And he didn’t vomit once after taking that initial sip. I have to say, I am impressed.

The other products are good too. I like how I feel taking the BarleyLife in the morning, and Kristin and I love the ProPeas.

Testimonial / Product Feature

Shared by Eric Dowd, AIM Member in Colorado Springs, Colorado

I’ve been using Peak Endurance during long bike rides and have really enjoyed its effects. The tangy flavor took a bit of getting used to, but I like it now. What really impressed me is what happened during a 13+ mile hike to Pikes Peak that I went on with my wife, Kristin, and our friend Mark.

About two miles from the end, Mark was done. He couldn’t keep anything down. He could barely walk more than a few steps before he stumbled. I considered running the rest of the way down and finding a ranger or calling an ambulance.

“We have learned that success is not how many people you sponsor; it’s how you teach the ones that you do sponsor on how to use the AIM products to get the most benefits,” said Harvey Borntrager who along with his wife, Dena, are the newest AIM Star Sapphire Directors.

With that sort of philosophy, it is easy to see how Harvey and Dena of Granton, Wisconsin have accomplished so much since signing up with AIM in 2013. Notably, they were among the first winners of the Branson Bucks – It’s Your Show Contest and have been named Outstanding Members of the Month.

What motivates them? “We both like helping people get better,”

Harvey said. They have been using their new income to help more people improve their nutrition. “There are thousands of people out there that are looking for answers, and we have the best products to give them.”

Some of the methods that they use to drive their business are advertising and holding meetings. The Borntragers invite long-time AIM Members to come and share their stories at these meetings, like AIM Blue Diamond Director Ralph Peterson for example.

“I’ve known Harvey for a couple years. He’s six levels down from me. I’ve done some meetings for him. He’s not scared to advertise. Harvey is a great organizer. He knows just how to get people to come out to his meetings. Both he and his wife work together on it. He does most of the talking, and she helps out any way she can. They do very well together. Harvey’s not afraid to go out and get the job done, sharing his story with others. I can’t say enough good things about him.”

Additionally, the Borntragers use printed materials created by AIM Members like (Chairman’s Club Dir-ector) Charlotte Thompson’s Nutrition that Works! testimony book, Cleansing the Colon for a Happier, Healthier You by (Chairman’s Club Director) Teresa Schumacher as well as product catalogs and datasheets.

They were first introduced to BarleyLife® by their relatives, Preferred Members Rudy and Irene Borntrager, after Irene had success with the product. Harvey and Dena’s favorite product, however, is Herbal Fiberblend®, but they use a wide variety of what AIM has to offer and wouldn’t want to go without any of it.

“We would like to thank Dr. John Shewfelt (Chairman’s Club Director), Ralph Peterson, Charlotte and Keith Thompson, Matthew and Karen Miller (Royal Emerald Directors) and my brother Rudy and his wife Anna for getting us started. This is the best thing that we have gotten involved in that has changed our lives. We appreciate all of you!”

Congratulations, Harvey and Dena!

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time for an inner cleanse. You survived the previous year and most likely took part in December feasts and celebrations. A bit of timely overindulgence is a part of being alive. Feeling alive and well is another thing, and the juice powder of young barley grass in AIM BarleyLife® is just the thing to help make it happen.

First and foremost, if you have never taken BarleyLife before, your body doesn’t know just how much it’s missing. But it will thank you with better health the longer you take it. Just ask anyone who has made taking BarleyLife a daily health habit.

When you take BarleyLife for the first time, AIM recommends starting with half a teaspoon and gradually increasing the amount. You may or may not experience detoxification symptoms,

such as fatigue or headaches. If you do, don’t worry. It’s normal. Your body is simply flushing out toxins. That’s what detoxification is all about. Soon enough, the concentration of natural nutrients will cleanse, rebuild and energize the cells of your body.

Cleansing Chlorophyll One of the detoxifying components of plant-based food like

BarleyLife is chlorophyll. This green lifeblood of plants has the incredible ability to bind to toxins, allowing your body to

effectively eliminate them and reduce damage. This natural detoxification is one of the many reasons why taking BarleyLife on a daily basis is so good for your health.

Chlorophyll supports one of the most important detoxifying organs in the body: the liver, which continuously filters toxins, bacteria and other harmful substances in blood that circulates from the intestines. Chlorophyll may also help in counteracting the

effects of radiation and blocking the absorption of carcinogens.

Additionally, the antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities of chlorophyll

contribute even more health benefits. Each serving of BarleyLife contains 19 mg of chlorophyll.

Detox & Rejuvenate Taking BarleyLife is an ideal way to detox and

rejuvenate on a daily basis. At the same time, you may want to start the year off with a concentrated

4-week cleanse using a variety of AIM’s natural health products. For complete details on how to go about doing

this, check out the Detox & Rejuvenate Program booklet (6154E), which is viewable online at www.theaimcompanies.

com and available for purchase for only a dollar.

In November 1997, my sponsor, Chairman’s Club Director Vivienne Myburgh, signed me into AIM and I did not even know what AIM was! A few months later, she told me to arrange a home meeting. I did and nearly everyone joined under me! Four months later, I was a Director (July 1998), and by May 1999, I was earning good money and with my downline managed 6,000 points a month.

Vivienne is truly great. She looks after me and helps me so much. I could not manage without her. Also, Chairman’s Club Director Joan van Rensburg is such an amazing, knowledgeable and lovely lady who is always available to help and give advice.

In 2000, AIM South Africa launched a sponsoring com-petition, and I won an all-expenses paid trip for two to attend the AIM International Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The AIM Companies was very generous, and I went with my son. It was marvelous.

In 2001, I decided to work in the UK as a carer (careperson) to earn money, so my AIM business began to shrink. But in 2008, I could not continue due to various illnesses one after the other, including tuberculosis. AIM products kept me going, but as I will be eighty next year, I do not think it will be easy to continue as a carer!

So I am now focusing on rebuilding my AIM business as I love the company, the products and the staff who run our head office in Johannesburg. There are hundreds of folk out there who need AIM products. My big mistake was to do caring work because if I had continued building my AIM business instead,

I would now have a thriving AIM business which would also be my pension.

So, we must “keep on keeping on.” I just talk to people, and that’s easy with AIM. Also, I invite folks to small home meetings. Keep your eyes and ears open and learn to listen to people. Another big mistake of mine was

to be influenced by other opportunities instead of focusing 100% on AIM. Last month, I earned my biggest check ever due to focusing on my AIM business.

My favorite product is AIM Composure® as I often ex per ience stomach aches, but when I pop two Composures, they work every time. Also when I travel, I take two Proancynol® 2000 every two to three hours, and I never suffer from jet lag. But I think the most stunning

AIM product is Herbal Fiberblend. It works every time thanks to Chairman’s Club Director Teresa Schumacher whom I had the privilege of meeting when I was in Nashville along with Dr. Mary Ruth Swope, Carolyn Kling, Dr. Shewfelt and many other Members. We had a marvelous time.

AIM is such a sincere company; there is no rah rah at meetings with promises of diamonds, fast cars, etc. It is the products that make AIM what it is today. They have never moved the goalposts in a negative way, but always in a positive way. There are several ways where we can earn more than in the past which makes us UNIQUE! Also the Compensation plan is easy to understand. Thank you, AIM.

It starts with a leader. Our top priority is investing time with our Members at monthly pot-luck home meetings. This is an exceptional opportunity to fellowship and follow-up. Mentoring is crucial to our success. We must lead by example, encouraging others to attend the teleclasses, webinars along with the AIM Academy. Our meetings are held in different homes all over the city.

These are my tips for better attendance. First, I inspire women to bring their husbands; my husband, Sil, always attends. Secondly, folks will usher their children into a different room to watch TV. I think children need to stay in the room. They will learn as well as enjoy a nutritional smoothie. We also post invitations on bulletin boards at gyms, banks, grocery stores and give out invitations to everyone we see.

We use the AIMing Higher training webinars as our “Annual Seminar.” We meet at hotels or restaurants to accommodate a larger crowd. Our Members participate in all the preparations. Our main focus is to invite new people. Our Christmas parties are a great recruiting tool, plus they are fun. It gives us opportunities to educate and motivate the attendees. We encourage everyone to give the ‘gift of health’ by using

the AIM products. At this event, we share delicious food, healthy recipes, testimonies and products. It’s a fun time playing the Christmas Jingo as well as a variety of games, special gifts and door prizes.

I also take advantage of AIM’s telebridge conference line several times a month. AIM provides this service free of charge. This is one of the ways we keep in touch with our out-

of-town Members.

“The overall trick is to sell yourself. Be passionate. This job isn’t just a business; it’s a way of life. It’s people helping other people. The more people you help, the more successful you’re going to be. It’s all about paying it forward”

AIM’s Telebridge Conference LineYou can also take advantage of AIM’s

telebridge conference call line. All you have to do is phone The AIM Companies’ call center (1-800-456-2462) and schedule an appointment. Once you select a day and time, you’ll receive the number and the passcode. Simply give the bridge number and passcode to those who you’d like to attend the conference call, and they’ll be able to join you from anywhere in the world. This is a service that The AIM Companies provides free of charge, so take advantage and stay connected!

The May 1822, 2016 AIM Conference in Branson, Missouri is a wonderful, fun-filled event jam-packed with great information about the AIM products, nutrition and health. Also, your AIM family will be there, and it’s no big secret among Living Well readers but those people are just the best.

Last year, thousands of AIM Members participated in the Branson Bucks: It’s Your Show contest, meaning that by sponsoring new Members and building their businesses, they earned deep discounts on conference packages or won them outright. Big Branson Bucks earners may have a bit more in their budgets and will likely want to explore famous and fabulous Branson, Missouri.

Those of you who would like to turn your business trip into a leisure trip can do so at AIM conference prices. We’re pleased to announce that AIM Members wishing to extend their stay at the Chateau on the Lake Resort may do so at the group room rate of $155.50 per night (tax included). Twelfth Annual Ohio AIM ConferenceNovember 6-7, 2015 Wilmot, Ohio

Color Me Healthy with AIM became the theme for our twelfth annual event. More than 250 smiling faces joined us November 7-8. Dr. John Shewfelt, Chairman’s Club Director, challenged us as he taught on the “Four Most Preventable Diseases” and “The Healthy Cell Concept.” Joan van Rensburg, Chairman’s Club Director, presented the AIM products, shared their family’s journey and the “AIM Business Opportunity.” Attending Members Lere Robinson, Cathy McCrea and Ralph Peterson helped teach “The Healthy Cell Concept.” The singing Garden Trio (Dr. Shewfelt, Ralph Peterson, and Loren Schiele) graced us in song a couple of times. Isaac Miller gave an inspiring testimony of God healing a tumor on the side of his face the size of four quarters while using AIM BarleyLife and making a paste. Members attended from OH, LA, SC, ID, IN, TX, KY, NY, ON and South Africa. We are forever grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible!

AIM Member and Red Rush athlete Ruth Santos began get-ting in shape for obstacle course races after her second child was born. A lifelong athlete, Ruth has always been a fierce competitor and was a varsity volleyball player throughout high school and college. After training intensely for several hours a day and looking for an outlet to test her physical abilities in a way that was a bit more interesting than just running, she tried a Spartan obstacle course race and was hooked.

These days, she gets ready for Spartan races through a combination of endurance training and proper nutrition. Ruth designs her own work outs. “The outdoors is my gym,” she said. “I study where I need improvement. I focus on body-weight training, endurance training like running up hills or sprint training for my breathing and stamina. I try and challenge myself by setting records that I have to beat.”

Prior to a Spartan race some people will increase the amount of carbohydrates they eat, but Ruth tries to plan her pre-race meals one week in advance. She drinks loads of water

every day and fuels up on steak, ground beef, turkey, rice and vegetables. On the day of the race, she’ll have a protein bar, a piece of fruit, a Red Rush® and nothing else.

“Nutrition is very impor-tant to me,” Ruth said. “Having my mom die of cancer was a wake-up call. I was younger then, but now I have kids of my own. It has a bigger impact today because other lives depend on me, and proper nutrition can help people stay well. That was my real motivation to not only lose weight, but to be strong and healthy and to maintain a long-term goal of living a lifestyle that not only does myself some good but can inspire others as well.”

This year, Ruth took first in her wave during a race called the Gladiator Rock ‘N Run. “The heat was almost 100 degrees with no shade, and it was pretty tough going. The whole time I was in, maybe, 5th or 6th and there were five men in front of me. But I gave it my all and was able to pass them.”

Ruth also competed in and finished the Spartan World Championship, a difficult event, and countless people were pulled from the course, mostly due to hypothermia. The founder of Spartan racing called it “the most brutal race to date. It was made to break you.” But Ruth finished easily, and

Red Rush was there to help her through.

“I cannot do without my Red Rush. I honestly believe that it’s my secret weapon. My energy is so up and no fatigue. I can do laps without feeling tired. During the World Championship, I finished with so much energy left in me, and I really believe that Red Rush alone gives me the support I need to finish any race. I’m very thankful for Red Rush.”
