Gift of Health
According to Dr. Li, who has appeared on such programs as Dr. Oz, Martha Stewart, and TED Talks, three of the top cancer-fighting antioxidants are carotenoids, isothiocyanates, and flavonoids.
Carotenoids are a group of more than 600 antioxidants that help give fruits and
vegetables their colors; for example, the beta-carotene in carrots and the
lycopene in tomatoes.
Derived from green, leafy vegetables, isothiocyanates are a 1,000+ group of natural molecules that defend the body by helping cells to produce more antioxidant enzymes
that intercept and destroy free radicals.
Flavonoids are the most common antioxidants with more than 6,000 different
molecules. Most are pigments found in brightly colored foods,
such as cranberries and red cabbage. The body metabolizes
flavonoids into uric acid, which neutralizes the free radicals that
can cause damage to DNA and healthy cells.
And then there is coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), an antioxidant produced by the body but in decreasing levels in people over the age of thirty. Supplementation is an effective way to increase levels of this vital antioxidant that literally sparks the production of cellular energy.
No matter what the season, the more antioxidants, the merrier for your body in terms of disease prevention and anti-aging. Getting a wide variety is important, since each type of antioxidant provides different benefits for the body and works on different body systems.
For the optimal defense of your body, eat an assortment of antioxidant–rich foods. To add even more of Mother Nature’s protective antioxidants, take AIM Proancynol® 2000, AIM BarleyLife®, AIM CellSparc 360®, AIM LeafGreens™, AIM Just Carrots®, AIM RediBeets®, AIM Veggie D™, and AIM CranVerry®+.
4 theaimcompanies.com I 1-800-456-2462
Antioxidants are natural, protective molecules that Mother Nature has put into all kinds of foods, including fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, even some oils, and also in the leaves that we use to make beverages ... The way they actually work is they protect our DNA against the type of damage that can be caused by free radicals, which are the harmful chemicals that our bodies absorb from many different sources in the environment—for example, cigarette smoke, or pollution, or fried foods... There are literally thousands of different types of antioxidants.

Antioxidants: The More, the Merrier!AIM’s Top Three Antioxidant Products
AIM Proancynol® 2000 As the finest antioxidant product in the
marketplace, AIM Proancynol® 2000 provides seven antioxidant-rich ingredients, including the extracts of green tea, grape seed, and tomato (for lycopene). Increasing the amount and variety of antioxidants in your body is easy with Proancynol 2000.
“I love my Proancynol 2000. It works! I’ve taken it for about eight years. It’s my life insurance. We are living with air pollution nowadays, and it takes a toll on my respiratory system. To me, Proancynol 2000 is like David’s sling shot to Goliath. It goes straight to the problem, and it’s done. “
Sydelle Scales, Preferred MemberChicago, Illinois
AIM BarleyLife®
Along with increasing your energy, reducing inflammation, and balancing your body pH, BarleyLife’s profusion of nutrients include natural antioxidants that protect against free radical damage. The most common free radical, superoxide, is created by all cells as a by-product when producing energy from food molecules. Even though these free radicals are always in the body, they can be easily neutralized by one of BarleyLife’s many powerful antioxidants—the enzyme, superoxide dismutase (SOD).
“There are more health benefits in one spoonful of BarleyLife than any other product. It’s what God led me to when my daughter had terminal cancer and what I gave her when she was so sick. In seven months, she was cancer-free. I will take it the rest of my life. “
Pat Blasingame, Royal Emerald DirectorHouston, Texas
AIM CellSparc 360® No energy can be produced in your cells
without coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), and AIM CellSparc 360® delivers CoQ10 in a synergistic formula that also includes fish oil and tocotrienols (for vitamin E—another antioxidant). CoQ10 is an antioxidant by nature, freely giving up electrons to neutralize free radicals.
“I take CellSparc 360 daily—one in the morning and one at noon. It helps with energy, especially at the mid-day slump. Since I work full-time as an occupational therapist, I need to keep my energy up to provide good therapy for my patients. Several of the young therapists have commented that they cannot believe I am thirty years older than they are and that I move faster than they do.”

Shorter days and winter weather lead to a lack of sunshine in our lives—sunshine that encourages vital vitamin D production in our bodies. Without vitamin D, the body becomes susceptible to infection, a weakened immune system, depression, and many more ailments.
In North America, 77 percent of the population are vitamin D deficient. In general, most people spend only 10 percent of their time outdoors, which is not adequate for the body’s vitamin D needs. No matter where you live, vitamin D deficiency is an issue.
To get ahead of this problem, you may choose foods that are naturally rich in vitamin D, like fatty fish (e.g., salmon and tuna). However, a two-capsule serving of Veggie D provides over twice the vitamin D content of a serving of salmon. And who can eat two servings of salmon on a daily basis?
Whole foods like Veggie D ensure that your body gets the vitamin D it needs. Daily intake recommendations vary based on factors like age and current vitamin D levels, but a good guideline to shoot for is a minimum 1,000 International Units (IU) of vitamin D per day. AIM’s vitamin D powder, Veggie D, contains 500 IU per serving in a savory garden blend of mushroom, tomato (for lycopene), and thirteen vegetables.
If you prefer capsules to powder, AIM has you covered. Veggie D 60-count vegetarian capsules, avail able in the US only (5987E, 25 BVP, $28.00), provide the same nutritional benefits as the powder, but with thirty 1,000 IU two-capsule servings. With a convenient two capsules
How to fill your life with
A new vitamin D delivery just in time for winter
per day, you can reverse winter’s hold on your vitamin D deficiency and reclaim the sunshine (and its benefits) in your life.
Why not D3?Veggie D provides a natural vegan source of vitamin D2 that differs from the animal-based synthetic sources most commonly used in mainstream D3 supplements.
Research has shown that the health benefits are identical. D2 is just as efficacious as D3.
A recent study examined the blood serum levels of individuals who consumed a standardized vitamin D mushroom soup in the winter. It showed a 67% increase in vitamin D levels in just five weeks. AIM chose D2 because of our desire for a stable and effective, natural plant source of vitamin D (Veggie D uses shiitake and button mushrooms for its D source). The D2 in Veggie D can significantly increase your vitamin D blood serum levels in the winter when it is needed the most.

As the end of 2012 draws near and finishes off with a season known for a variety of traditional feasts, it’s a good time to consider enzymatic back-up for both improved digestion and overall health. AIM PrepZymes® offers a combination of cultured enzymes, papaya fruit, and alpine wild garlic that helps you digest the food you eat and replenish your body’s supply of enzymes.
Whether eating cheese-laden foods fried or baked in oil during Hanukkah, enjoying the caloric intake of a Christmas dinner, or feasting on southern-inspired and African-influenced dishes for Kwanzaa, PrepZymes can rescue your digestive tract.
Along with digesting food, your body keeps you alive by undergoing an infinite number of chemical reactions. Enzymes make them possible. In fact, the human body has approximately 75,000 enzymes that it depends on to function optimally. However, as we age, our bodies produce fewer enzymes, so it makes sense to make a lifetime habit out of eating fresh foods that contain active enzymes. Supplementing with PrepZymes makes up the difference in making certain that your body is never lacking in enzymes, no matter what the season.
So enjoy the feasts of this season. It’s all part of a wonderful life. And to make things easier on your body now and in the future, take PrepZymes.
Holiday Feasts?
PrepZymes to the Rescue!During a trip to China, I was the only one taking PrepZymes—five capsules, three times a day. I was also the only person who did not get sick. My husband, Ken, had a terrible headache and congestion on the day we visited the Great Wall. I gave him PrepZymes drinks made with eight capsules—three times that day. He slept like a baby that night and awoke the next morning without any cold symptoms. Along with being an aid to digestion, PrepZymes contributes to overall good health.Lanny Donald, Chairman’s Club DirectorSurrey, British Columbia
How thankful I am for PrepZymes. For several years, I have had digestive problems. I’ve taken different things for my constant discomfort and have been to the doctor, but nothing seemed to help. I even had bouts of diarrhea, especially after breakfast. When I took PrepZymes, nearly all of my digestive problems disappeared, almost instantly. I am so thankful for this and other AIM products for as I grow older, I still live a healthy life. Esther Brambila, Group BuilderCibolo, Texas

Natural Health FairSt. Jacobs, Ontario, October 20, 2012
AIM Canada sponsored the very first Natural Health Fair in St. Jacobs, Ontario, this fall to bring the community together by sharing holistic approaches for maintaining good health. Directors Darlene and Kees Vandermey provided invaluable assistance in organizing this event that drew a crowd of over 170 people. AIM Canada succeeded in delivering a stronger message by working alongside eight local businesses offering natural approaches to good health: Perfect Touch Massage Therapy (massage therapist and reflexologist), Cedar Springs Flower Farm (organic fruit and vegetables), Pinnacle Health and Fitness (gym and personal training), Brubacher’s Beeswax Candles and Honey, Grandma’s Gluten-Free Goods, Flowers to Fragrance (natural body products), and Norwex (microfiber cleaning cloths). Each exhibitor donated a door prize, draws for which were held during the three-hour event. Attendees received goodie bags filled with AIM literature, sales tools, and samples, along with single-serving packets of BarleyLife attached to bottled water. Attendees were also treated to brief, natural health presentations, including What is AIM & Natural Health and Caution: This PowerPoint could save your life by Rose Bird, Chartered Herbalist and General Manager of AIM Canada, and Lose Weight the Healthy Way by Dr. John Shewfelt, Chiropractor and Chairman’s Club Director. Darlene Vandermey emceed the fair and also provided a testimonial. After this very successful event, Darlene followed up with exhibitors, whose feedback indicated that they were very pleased with the location, format, and results of the Natural Health Fair.

Joseph & Emma Miller promote to Royal Emerald Directors
“Having an AIM business has expanded our horizons,” said Emma Miller.
Joseph and Emma Miller from Dundee, Ohio, have experienced the restorative health benefits of AIM products and have shared those benefits with others, resulting in a successful AIM business and the achievement of becoming Royal Emerald Directors in the AIM Compensation Plan. The secret to success is simple.
“Genuinely care about people,” Emma said. “Listen, and ask questions. Follow up, and always keep learning.”
The Millers have expanded their business through their Amish community in Eastern Ohio and beyond, holding regular meetings outside their local area and following up with her contacts with phone calls and newsletters. Datasheets are their favorite AIM sales tool, and sharing
testimonies—like the ones documented in Chairman’s Club Director Charlotte Thompson’s testimony book—has been effective in growing their organization.
“We are so thankful for the health and energy levels we enjoy as a family,” Emma said. “We have a passion for sharing the message of health and hope with others.
Family is a key component to the Miller’s story with AIM. Emma was diagnosed with infertility in 2004. Once the AIM products were introduced into their lives, Emma
and Joseph were blessed with three healthy children, from two to six years old.
The children are a big part of Emma’s day. In addition to being a mother to three active children, Emma keeps busy as a homemaker. In addition, she does the bookkeeping for Joseph’s farrier business, makes and answers phone calls, and prepares packages to mail out to people.
“We can make a difference in people’s lives by encouraging them to use the AIM products,” Emma said. “I would tell all new Members to start by using the products as recommended for at least three months. Drink enough water, and have a cheerful outlook. People can see an improvement in their health.”

Promotions
Georgie Smith, who recently pro moted to the title of Star Sapphire Director in the
AIM Compensation Plan, came to The AIM Companies on a chance encounter. In the early 90s, her husband Alvin flew to Idaho to attend a convention for a different company. While he was in town, he met Carolyn and Jim Kling.
Carolyn and Jim, Chair man’s Club Directors, signed up Alvin as a Member in October 1993. The following year, Georgie was introduced to the Klings at the Texas BarleyLife Convention, where Carolyn was a speaker. The rest, as they say, is history.
Georgie has continued using and sharing the AIM products after Alvin’s passing in July 2000. She starts every day by taking the AIM Garden Trio®, so this way she knows that she has the vegetables she needs for the day. When she shares with others, she tells them that when you buy fresh vegetables at the store they don’t keep their nutrients and stay fresh. AIM BarleyLife® and the Garden Trio are a good value because these vegetables keep—they don’t lose their nutrients, they are easy to store, and you don’t have to put them in the fridge to keep their freshness.
Georgie, who lives in Yoakum, Texas, con-siders her promotion to Star Sapphire Director a happy surprise. She was blessed at the news of her continuing growth in health and wealth with AIM.
New pricing in effect January 1: USBeginning January 1, six-pack pricing will
be available on every individual AIM product, providing a built-in volume discount over the price of purchasing products individually. The six-pack savings will offset a $1.00 price increase on all products (due to rising ingredient costs). Complete pricing on all products will be available in the January 2013 Price List Order Form, available online on the first of the year. For questions and concerns
about the price changes, please contact the AIM Call Center at 1-800-456-2462.

“Barley grass has 11 times more calcium than cows milk, 5 times more iron than spinach, and 7 times more Vitamin C and bio-flavonoids than orange juice. It contains significant amounts of Vitamin B12 which is very important in a vegetarian diet. Try taking GlucoChrom one hour before your two largest meals.
A serving of ProPeas protein takes four hours to digest, leaving you fuller longer, whereas whey and soy protein supplements are digested up to three times faster, leaving you hungry in just 90 minutes.
We suggest mixing your fiber and ProPeas for a great afternoon snack.
