Think of a book that you like a lot. Answer the questions below using the book as the subject.

4. Tell a little about the story or subject of the book.
5. How many times have you read this?
Read the five words for each number below. What movie or TV show do you think is being described?

Think of a movie or tv show and describe it using five words. Be ready to share with the class.

GUESS THE MOVIE OR TV SHOW
Watch the clips of a rock concert, a symphony performance, a dramatic theater performance and a movie. In what ways are they similar? Which ways are they different?
Adjectives are words that describe a noun. They give more information about that noun. The red car – red describes the color of the car. They usually happen before the noun but can also follow linking verbs. Max is tall – tall describes Max’s height.
Read the sentences below. Underline the adjective and circle the noun it describes in each sentence. For example: Cinderella is a fictional story.
1. The rock concert is loud.
2. I love to watch horror movies.
3. Jonathan’s favorite book is Astrophysics for People in a Hurry.
4. Streaming TV shows online is fun and easy.
5. I like watching slapstick comedies.
6. The pause button on my remote is red.
7. I think that Ellen Page is a great actor.
8. The downtown library is big and old but very nice.
9. The large audience in the movie theater was very quiet.
