This year, FERMA will publish its first European Risk and Insurance Report based on the results ofour European Risk Management Benchmarking Survey. Cristiane Alves is a lawyer and has been working with Risk Management and Insurance formore than 20 years. She started her career in 1990 at Pirelli Group, which was her“professional school”. In 2003 she became Risk Manager of Telecom Italia Mobile in Brasil.In 2008 she returned to Pirelli Group as Risk Manager for Latin America where she remaineduntil the last July. Since August 1st 2013, Cristiane has assumed the Insurance Departmentof a huge Brazilian company called CSN (Companhia Siderurgica Nacional) which the mainbusiness is steel and mine.

Cristiane is also the current President of ABGR, the Brazilian risk managers association and she is also member of theBoard Director of ALARYS, the Latin American Risk Managers Association and represents both associations at IFRIMA.

Head of Marketing (management & strategy) at AXA Corporate Solutions since 2009,Stéphanie Augustin joined the company in 2005 as Senior Liability Under writer(GL,Professional Liability) of international programmes.

Stéphanie has been evolving in the insurance business (broker firms/insurance companies)since the beginning of her career in 1993, specializing in Liability for large accounts (CGL,Professional Liability, Environmental Liability) in terms of underwriting, setting up ofinternational programs, reinsurance and claims.

Frank BARON Group General Manager Risk Management & InsuranceInternational SOS Singapore

Franck Baron is the Group General Manager, Risk Management & Insurance at InternationalSOS Singapore, a role he held since September 2011. Franck brings a wealth of experiencein risk management having held a number of senior executive positions in the field. Prior tohis current role, his previous work experience include stints at AXA Corporate Solutions –Global Business Development, Risk Consulting; Firmenich as the Vice-President of RiskManagement and Insurance and The Danone Group, Director, Risk Management.

He has held in many positions on public sector and private boards and committees such as – the Chairman of PARIMA(Pan Asian Risk & Insurance Management Association) and the Vice-President, Board Member of the AMRAE (FrenchRisk Management Association), a role he held until December 2003. Florence BINDELLEExecutive Director

Florence Bindelle is responsible for the management of the daily activities of FERMA,including relations with the European Commission and other European organisations,communications and organisation of events. She joined FERMA in 1999 after two years inthe Brussels office of Mapfre Re on liability portfolio management and treaty analysis andtwo years of legal training.

Florence has a degree in law and a post-graduate degree in law and economics.

She also holds a certificate in risk management. She speaks fluent French, Spanish andEnglish and good Dutch.

Dominique COPPENSManaging Director and Placement & Advisory LeaderMarsh

In her function, Dominique coordi nates market relationships with strategic insurance partnerslocally and internationally.

Dominique joined Marsh in 1990; she is the founder of the FINPRO department in Belgium(1996). She has since held several strategic positions, including that of FINPRO PracticeLeader for Belgium and Luxemburg. Dominique holds a degree in Law from the UniversitéLibre de Bruxelles, as well as several industry certifications (FSMA).

Alessandro DE FELICEVice President of FERMAGroup Risk ManagerPrysmian

In addition to his role as Group Risk Manager for high technology cables and systemscompany Prysmian in Milan, Alessandro De Felice is Managing Director of the company’sDublin-based captive. Previously, he was risk manager EMEA at Pirelli and spent five yearsworking for Marsh.Alessandro is a board member of the Italian association ANRA and Vice President of FERMA.

Regis DEMOULINChief Commercial OfficerAXA Corporate Solutions

In addition to his role as Chief Commercial Officer, Régis Demoulin is Head of InternationalNetwork and Partnerships of AXA Corporate Solutions and since 1996 a member of itsexecutive committee.

His career has been dedicated to international corporate risks and marine and aviationbusiness.

Régis is a graduate in law and political sciences.

Michel DENNERYVice President of FERMADeputy Chief Risk Officer, Audit & Risks DivisionGDF Suez

Michel Dennery is a civil engineer by background with an operational managementexperience of more than 20 years in gas and electricity networks, working for EDF and GDFSUEZ. He also served as the head of media relationships as well as the purchase andprocurement departments of EDF.

Michel has led the risk management department of GDF SUEZ since 2006, before themerger of both companies. In addition to his role of Vice President in FERMA, he is past president of CARM, the Frenchassociation of associates in risk management.

Marie Gemma DEQUAEScientific AdvisorFERMA

Marie Gemma Dequae is promoting good risk management and risk culture as boardmember and member of audit committee in boards of several Belgian companies, afterbuilding risk management and managing risks for over 20 years in a large Belgianmultinational.

She’s advising FERMA after being president and board member for several years, and isstill active in the Belgian Association of Risk management (BELRIM) after being president

for more than 10 years. She’s also a member of the stakeholder group IRSG (Insurance and Reinsurance StakeholderGroup) of EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pension Agency) in Frankfurt (since October 2013). Aside ofall those activities she teaches on ‘risk governance and risk management’ topics and has a PhD in Applied Economicsfrom the Catholic University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven) and a Master in Insurance Law and Economics of the U.C.Louvain.

Helle FRIBERGGroup Risk & Insurance Manager Hempel A/S

Helle Friberg has been working for the international Danish paint producer, Hempel, the last14 years with responsibility for insurance. During the past several years she has also beenheading the development and implementation of enterprise risk management in the Hempelgroup as well.

Helle is a FERMA board member and a former vice president of the Danish risk managementassociation, DARIM. She received her insurance education at the Danish InsuranceAcademy and in 2009 she added associate in risk management (ARM).

Julia GRAHAMPresident of FERMADirector of Risk Management and Insurance – DLA Piper

Julia is the Director of Risk Management and Insurance at DLA Piper, the global law firm,where she is responsible for the development and delivery of the Firm's International RiskManagement Strategy and Framework and the Firm's risk financing solutions.

The Firm takes an enterprise approach to managing risk.

Risk financing solutions include the design and procurement of insurance and associatedrisk financing needs for all classes of risk including professional liabilities, property, casualty,health and benefits.

Julia is a member of the Firm's Risk Committee and a Director of the Firm's Captive insurance company. She alsoholds a number of external Non-Executive Director appointments.

Julia has over 35 years' experience in managing risk, compliance and insurance. She is a Fellow of the CharteredInsurance Institute, a Chartered Insurer and Chairman of the Panel of Judges for the 2014 British Insurance Awards.She is a fellow of the Business Continuity Institute, a UK expert member and FERMA Liaison on the Technical Committeeand Working Group for the development of ISO 31000, the risk management standard. She is Chair of the Risk Panelfor the Managing Partner Forum, a past Chairman of AIRMIC and a Board member and President of FERMA.

Erik HARTKORENRegional Manager Benelux, Insurance – XL Group

Erik Hartkoren is responsible for managing XL Group’s insurance business in the BeneluxRegion, identifying financial solutions for the global risks of multinational companies. Mr.Hartkoren joined XL Group in 2007 bringing over twenty years’ experience in loss controlengineering and commercial/industrial and international Property & Casualty riskmanagement.

Prior to joining XL Group, Mr. Hartkoren was Director Allianz Global Risks Netherlands(AGRN) from 2003 to 2007. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for the global operationalrisk management/risk consultancy sector of the Allianz Group called Allianz Global Risks

(AGR). In 1993, he launched Allianz Risk Consultants B.V. (ARC), an independent Risk Mana gement and RiskConsultancy unit, servicing International Corporate clients and the global Allianz organization.

Mr. Hartkoren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the HTS Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Hespeaks Dutch, English and German and is located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Jochen KOERNERManaging Director - Sales Leader for Continental Europe,CIS & Turkey European Executive Board Member – Marsh

Jochen started his career with Marsh in 1997 in the Multinational Client Services practice,and gained in-depth expertise in risk management and technology over the upcoming years.He has over 15 years of experience advising multinational organizations on risk andinsurance topics. In 2005 Jochen was appointed Regional Leader for Mid-Germany; he hasbeen a Member of the German Executive Board since 2009.

Jochen brings to the table extensive expertise in risks associated to a multinational businessenvironment, coupled with in-depth knowledge of analytics tools and of the insuranceindustry.

He holds a Diplom-Kaufmann from Würzburg University Frankfurt, as well as an MBA fromAshridge Management College, UK.

Gaëtan LEFEVREChairman of BELRIMGroup Risk & Insurance ManagerCMI Group

Gaëtan is an engineer by background having qualified as a civil mining engineer at theUniversity of Liège. He studied management and administration at the Catholic Universityof Louvain and risk and insurance management at the University of Mons.

Before joining Group CMI, Gaëtan worked in engineering and production for Group Lhoist.He then joined Insurance Company AG and held various roles linked to corporate risksbefore moving to Group InBev as risk and insurance manager for BeNeLux and France. Hejoined Group CMI in 2007.

Carl LEEMANChief Risk OfficerKatoen Natie

Carl Leeman is in charge of Risk Management within the Katoen Natie group covering morethan 150 legal entities.

His responsibilities are amongst others operational contracts, legal issues, claim handling,safety, security, insurance and environmental issues. He does coordinate those on aworldwide basis.

He is vice president of Belrim (Belgian Risk Management Association), Board member of FERMA (European RiskManagement Association) and chairman of IFRIMA (Interna tional Risk management Association).

He wrote a number of articles in Newspapers and Magazines. He addressed national and international conferencesand teaches in several Risk Management and Crisis Management programs.

He Studied at the Nautical College in Antwerp, and holds degrees in Risk Management, Marketing, Forwarding andInsurance Brokering.

Before being appointed as CRO he has been active as Risk Manager, Claims Manager and surveyor.

Paul LOWINRegional Commercial ManagerAXA Corporate Solution UK

Paul began his career in 1976 working for Guardian Royal Exchange in Ipswich. In the 20plus years spent with GRE Paul garnered a wide range of experience through numerousand varied roles in both Regional and Head Office locations including Household and PrivateMotor Underwriting, Claims Handling, Product Development and Marketing, CommercialUnderwriting, Strategic Planning and Communications.

Subsequent to the AXA Group’s acquisition of Guardian Insurance, Paul moved to AXAGlobal Risks as Head of UK Communications. Since that time his career with AXA has embraced management rolesin both Finance/Management Information and Relationship Management.

Cristina MARTINEZCorporate Risk Management DirectorCampofrio Food Group

Cristina Martinez is an actuarial professional with more than 12 years’ experience inmanagement and business. Before joining Campofrio Food Group, she worked in theaviation sector as risk manager for Iberia Airlines.

Her responsibilities include the definition and implementation of the overall risk and insurancemanagement strategy across the group in eight European countries.

She has been member of the FERMA board since 2008 and leads projects such as 2012and 2014 FERMA Benchmarking Survey. She also is a founder of the Spanish riskmanagement association IGREA.

Chris McGLOINChris is the immediate past chairman of Airmic and is the current chair of Airmic’s insurancesteering group which is responsible for insurance strategy and actions within theorganisation. In this role there has been considerable focus on emerging and developingrisks including those relating to cyber exposures and solutions.

For the last 8 years he has been the risk manager for Invensys where he has beenresponsible for developing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management, globalInsurance and associated Loss Control programmes for this engineering technologycompany. He also served as a director on the Board of the Invensys captive.

Previously Chris worked first as an underwriter with Royal Insurance and then moved intorisk management and broking first with Sedgwick and then with Aon.

responsibility for implementing Sedgwick’s European Risk Management Services strategy and later moved to Cologne,Germany, as a Managing Director with responsibility for the Sedgwick Global Client segment. Once again he changedback to the insurer side of the business becoming Country Manager for St Paul International Insurance Company inThe Netherlands. This was followed by joining the insurance broker Marsh becoming a Managing Director of MarshInc. responsible for the global client segment Risk Management Practise in The Netherlands.

Throughout his career Edwin has been working internationally with a focus on risk management and insurance servicingthe needs of global clients. He has been a director of various Captive insurance companies in various territories and nowhandles ArcelorMittal’s Captive. He is the Chairman of the Insurance Committee of the Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl inGermany, Chairman of the board of the Insurance Committee of the German Industry Association (BDI), a board memberof DVS the German Risk Manager Association, a board member of FERMA and a member of M 200. He is an InseadAlumnus having attended the Advanced Management Program in 1992.

Annemarie Schouw, has been a member of the NARIM board for two years. As from June2012, she has been appointed president of the board during the NARIM Congres whichwas held in The Hague.
