About the EAA

• 76 members (churches and church-related organizations)

• Aim: Harness collective energies of members in 2 advocacy campaigns

• Current campaigns: HIV and Food

• Board, 2 Strategy Groups, Assembly

• Small core staff based in Geneva

‘Live the Promise’ - HIV Campaign

• HIV campaign since set-up of EAA (2000)

• Four campaign goals (2009-2012):1. Addressing the root causes of vulnerability to HIV

2. Achieving Universal Access

3. Eliminating stigma and discrimination

4. Ensuring accountability and sufficient resources

• Advocacy = Awareness raising, speaking out and policy engagement
