3Its summertimeand all of the
children are ontheir holidays. That is except
Roger...
Oh no, not Roger.Roger and his mum are moving totheir new home today, but Roger isupset and so is his pet fish, Jelly.I want to stay with my friends!,
cries out Roger.
4Are we there yet?Are we there yet?Roger shouts at the top of his
lungs.
A patient Rogers mum replies,Not long now son, lets have a sing song to help
pass the time by.
Roger and his mum rock out to theirfavorite radio station all the way to
their new house.
5Roger whispers, Mum this house hasnt got any ghosts in it . . . has it? I dont like
ghosts.
Of course not, silly! But you know what?
I bet that even if there are ghosts,Im sure theyre
friendly.
Parking her car, Rogers mum looks up atthe house and shouts, If there are any ghosts
in our new house, can you help us move ourfurniture in please? Its really very heavy!
6That night, Roger feels alittle frightened in his new bedroom. Roger hums his
favorite song to help himself feel calm. Moments later, Roger hears the very same
tune coming from the ceiling!
7The next morning, Roger wakes up to the delicious smell of his mums lovely cooking.
Scrambled eggs on toast! Yum my favorite! He cries out.
Roger gobbles up every bit.All except for a few crumbs that is
Which topple down by his feet.
Roger suddenly feels a little tickle on his toes and sees a mouse!
Squeak!
Squeak!
8Its almost as if there is something very exciting and fantastic waiting to be discovered here.
Then Roger hears the music from the previous night.
The squeaky mouse leads Roger to a dusty attic.
9Roger searches for the music and comes across a case covers with a dusty sheet.
10
He opens the case and sees quite an unusual guitar. It is made out of glass and has
beautiful golden strings!
11
Picking up the guitar, he is surprised to find that it is very light. When Roger touches the strings, he feels his hands tingle. His feet
start to tap.
Suddenly, the most beautiful tunes pour from the guitar. To his astonishment, Roger seems
to be playing these tunes all by himself!
12
Roger is so happy he is able to play the guitar that he dances
around the attic, humming and
tapping his feet with sheer
delight.
Then all of a sudden, the guitar seems to
stop playing. It sounds out of tune and the mysterious glow from the guitar
has vanished!
Just then his mum shouts, Roger, where are your? I need some help unpacking these boxes,
please!
13
Roger places the guitar back in its case and covers it up with the sheet. He rushes downstairs like lightning
with a big grin painted across his face.
What are you so happy about, Roger?asks his mum, noticing Rogers big
Cheshire cat grin.
Not much, but I think I like this house! Roger says with a beam. Roger wants to keep this secret for himself.
At least for now...
14
Roger decides that his pet fish jelly should see the magic glass guitar. He takes the case to his bedroom and
tries to play Jelly a song.
Strangely, the guitars magic doesnt seem to work this time. Roger wonders
what he can do to make the guitar work again. Hmmmm, suddenly an idea comes to him, Ill write my own
song! he exclaims.
15
Before he goes to bed that night,
Roger works very hard to create a song. He thinks about all he has
been through over the past few days for inspiration.
He gets out a pad and pencil andbegins to write.
16
The next day after breakfast, Roger tells his mum about his guitar and its magical powers.
Why didnt you tell me sooner? asks Rogers mum.
Roger replies, I wanted it to be a surprise! Im going to
put on a show tonight for you and Jelly.
Fantastic!Rogers mum says cheerfully.
17
That evening, Roger spikes hishair and puts on his most
ROCKINclothes.
He picks up his guitar and shouts Mum, Im ready!Roger stands proud and the tingling sensation
starts to move through his body. Slowly the guitar
begins to glow...
18
My name islittle Rockin Roger
And the music feels sweet!
Strumming these strings and tapping
my feet
This magic glass guitar
is really neat
Especially when Im nodding my headand feeling the beat. Let me hear you say

Wow! My little Rockin Roger! shouts his mum, clapping her hands. Rogers mum gives her son a great big hug and with that the guitars
glow disappears.
Roger has become Little Rockin Roger. Who knows what adventures
