Battery Installation1. Use 2 AAA batteries (included. Remove any 'plastic wrap from the
botteries before proceeding). Always replace both batteries at thesame time; do not combine old and new batteries. Do not mixAlkaline, carbon-zinc (standard) or Nickel-Cadmium (rechargeable)batteries.
2. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale.
3. 'Place the new balleries into the battery compartment according tothe a+a and a_a polarity symbols at the bollom of the compartment.
4. Replace the ballery cover.
Low BatteryYour Taylor® scale is equipped with a low battery indicator. II willdisplay "LO" or readings will grow dim or become irregular if theballeries needs replacement.
Trouble ShootingIn Case of Difficulty••.
1. Place your feet in the same position every time you weighyourself. Stand still during measurement.
2. Weigh yourself without clothing whenever possible. Clothescan vary in weight.
3. Move the scale to a location where it won't be bumped. If.your scale is bumped while being activated or while in use, aninaccurate reading may occur.
4. For the most consistent readings, weigh yourself at the sametillie of day. Allow for weight fluctuations due to food or drinkin your system.
5. The maximum capacity of this scale is 400 Ibs / 180 kgs /28 st 8 Ibs. Should "ERR" appear on the display during aweighing, this indicates that the maximum weighing capacityof the scale has been exceeded. Remove the weight
. immediately; otherwise, permanent damage may occur.
Reaching Target WeightMaintaining proper weight is essential to healthy living. Obesityhas been linked to a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes andsome forms of cancer. The Body Mass Index (BMI) is the mostwidely accepted measurement of weight according to healthprofessionals.Use the chart below to determine your own BMI by matchingyaur height in the left hand column with your weight in thecenter. Anyone, male or female, with a BMI of 25 to 29 isconsidered over weight and a body mass index of 30 isconsidered obese. Remember to eot right ond exercise.
Precautions1. Clean exposed parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth. To remove
stains, use a mild soap. Never use detergents, excess water, treatedcloths, harsh cleaning agents, or sprays. Do nat attempt to lubricateor open scale casing as this will void your warranty. . i
2. Although your scale is designed to be maintenance"free, it containssensitive electronic parts. Avoid rough treatment. Do not drop, kick,or jump on it. Treat it with care to ensure the best performance.
3. This scale is designed to read weights between 35 and 400 Ibs /15 and 180 kgs / 2 and 28 st 8 Ibs. To prevent damage, do not placemore than 400 Ibs / 180 kgs / 28 st 8 Ibs on it.
4. Do not store scale where you store cleaning chemicals. The vapors!Tom some household products may affect the electronic componentsof your scale. Do not store scale on its side.
5. This scale is an extremely sensitive weighing device. In order toprevent run down of the batteries, do not store anything on the scale..
6. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long period oftime.
Five (5) Year Limited WarrantyThis scale is warranted against defects in materials of workmanship five(5) years of the original purchaser from date of retail purchase. It doesnot cover damages or wear resulting from accident, misuse, abuse,commercial use, or unauthorized adjustment and/or repair. Do notreturn to retailer. Should this scale require service (or replacement atour option) while under warranty, please pack the item in the originalpackaging and return it prepaid, along with store receipt showing dateof purchase and a note explaining reason for return to:
