A Message From The President
Budge Huskey was promoted to president and chief executive officer ofColdwell Banker Real Estate LLC on January 1, 2013, after serving aspresident and chief operating officer since June 2010. Huskey succeedsJim Gillespie who is now chairman emeritus.
As chief executive officer, Huskey oversees marketing, operations,learning and field services supporting 82,000 Coldwell Banker® salesassociates in 3,100 offices in 51 countries and territories around theworld. Huskey is a nationally recognized housing industry leader whoregularly represents the Coldwell Banker brand in interviews with majormedia outlets.
Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Huskey had spent the previous 12 years in severalexecutive positions with NRT, the nation's largest residential real estate brokerage.
Huskey began his real estate career as an agent in 1984 with family-owned Huskey Realty wherehe stayed until joining NRT in 1998 as a branch manager for Coldwell Banker Residential RealEstate in Longwood, Fla. He eventually became a district and regional manager in theorganization's Central Florida region before being named in 2004 as president and chiefoperating officer of NRT's Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Florida.
He remained in this position until 2007 when he was promoted to executive vice president ofNRT's Coldwell Banker Southeastern region. In this role he oversaw the strategic initiatives ofmore than 120 Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate and Coldwell Banker ResidentialBrokerage offices in Florida, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Atlanta, which generated annual salesvolume in excess of $10 billion dollars. He also was responsible for oversight of NRT's REOExperts, one of the nation's largest REO asset management firms.
Well regarded in the real estate industry, Huskey served as president of the Orlando Associationof Realtors, where he was honored as Realtor of the Year, and director and committeechairperson for the Florida Association of Realtors. Huskey currently serves as a NationalAssociation of Realtors Director and serves on the Strategic Planning Committee. He won the2006 Coldwell Banker Chandler Barton Award representing dedication and service to theColdwell Banker brand. He is routinely recognized by Inman News as one of the Most InfluentialPeople in Real Estate.
Huskey is a 1981 graduate of Mercer University who earned an MBA in 1984 from Wake ForestUniversity.
