How the logo represents the company:Tis is a surfing company everything rom the colors, onts andactual waves represents everything the company is about.Process: I created a new logo in Illustrator. I finally was able totype on the path o the wave which added an element o flow.I was then able to place that exact logo into my letter head inthe top right hand corner. I added a box and changed it to looklike a wave and incorporate the correct colors. I also placed thatsame logo on the business card. I wanted to keep everythingconsistent and clean. o create the business card, I used therectangle tool and made sure the border was prominent with adark color.

Date: October 3, 2013

Process: Tis was the first time I have worked with InDesign. Iwas able to learn a variety o techniques while working on thisproject. I knew right rom the start that I wanted to create repe-tition. I did that as a I created the two lines on the lef hand sideand bottom o the flier. Tese lines also created flow that drawsthe eyes attention to the center o the page. o create those linesI just used the rectangle tool and filled in with black. I learned

how to better insert text and align it all. In order or the text tonot be squished against the edge I had to create 2 boxes. Insertingan image can sometimes be hard but I learned the power o theshif and command buttons so the images are not pixily. I tried tocreate contrast with the different onts and the black background.

Description: Tree logo variations or the same company.

Process: Tis project was really challenging or me but I madedo. First I used a lot o shapes and modified them with the pentool. On the bottom logo I used the swirl tool and color filled it.Te onts are contrasting in color I tried to change the ont sothat it would be two colors, one fill and the other outline color.

Description:A two sided brochure.

Process:

I set up the triold brochure in Adobe InDesign. I made 3 columnsand set up gudders and bleeds.

I used black throughout the entire brochure to create a proessionallook.

For the image o a soccer logo I cropped the image in Photoshop Ithen created a mask to erase the original background. Ten I wasable to save the image or web, when I inserted the photo it blendedwell with the already black background.

I created the logo in Illustrator using the pen tool and the createshape tool I was able to use the arc shape to create a sun shape. I

then added the aded lines to make them look like sun rays. I usedthe text tool to be able to write in the images.

op 3 things learned:1. I learned how to wrap text around an image in InDesign.2. I learned how to create a tri old brochure InDesign.

3. I learned how wrap text to that there are spaces between all thegrids and text is not over lapping

Project 2 Event Ad

Description: A full bleed Event ad to promote a fundraiserusing only Microsoft Word and a scanner.

Process: When starting o I knew I wanted the title to say itall. I played around with it several time until it caught my ownattention. All the people really need to know what it is. If they

are interested they will look at the rest of the details. I am al-ways hesitant to use so much white space but I think it workedout okay this time.

Description: A personally taken photograph that has beenedited/ormatted using Photoshop.

Date: October 19, 2013Process: I took this picture using Nikon DSLR camera. I im-mediatly was drawn to the photo where the oreground wasin ocus. I then took my image into Photoshop and croppedit to a 66 inch square. I then selected the background usingthe quick selection tools, and applied the plastic wrap filter. Ifinally desaturated the the background color and then addedthe blue color hue to the background.

Description: A web page designed to showcase a personallycreated logo.

Date:November 23, 2013

Process: Tis was my very first time ever working withHML and CSS. At first I was very overwhelmed but once Ielt comortable writing new HML tags I elt much better.I used the program text wrangler to edit both my HMLand CSS. Once I had all the proper text added I wanted toadd my image. I placed my image rom Illustrator to theHML file. I was able to re size my image then add it. TenI proceeded to change my CSS. Tis included changing allthe background colors and also the onts. I wanted to makesure those colors matched the logo.
