KEY COMPETENCES THE CHALLENGE OF THE NEXT YEARS Key competences are a reference model for education and training in Europe (Reccomendation of European Parliament and of European Council 18/12/2006 - 2006/962/CE - Joint Progress Report 2010).
Key competences are often acquired and developed in non-formal and informal contexts; this makes them not assessed nor recognized and consequently not used by adults for their personal and professional improvement.
With VINTAGE project we wanted to meet this challenge by developing a framework for the assessment of Key competences and an ONLINE DIGITAL TOOL FOR SELF ASSESSMENT OF KEY COMPETENCES.
HOW TO MEET THE CHALLENGE
VINTAGE aims to
describe the European background valorising existing strategies and approaches for the assessment of skills and competences
realize a framework, with a set of indicators and descriptors for the assessment of key competences and a checklist to guide the self-assessment according to standardized levels
realize, on the basis of the designed framework, an online tool for the self-assessment of the key competences
test the framework involving trainers/teachers; test the online tool involving adult learners
