Pesticide Management

• Pesticide management is an integral part and building blockfor Agricultural sustainability.

• FFFPL follows one unified model for Pesticide Managementfor operations PAN India.

• Each crop has been designated a Unique ProposedPesticide Usage List (PPU).

• Propose Pesticide Usage list enlist the Pesticides which canbe used for a particular crop.

• Proposed Pesticide Usage list is drafted based on EU/UKRegulations, EU Approved Pesticides, EU MRL’s, CustomerRequirements, Indian Pesticide Regulations.

Pesticide Management

• PPU for a particular crop will be same across all locationsand is followed religiously.

• Pesticide Monitoring is being done by External lab testingfor all crops based on risk assessment.

• All pesticide spray activities taken place at a field is beingrecorded in a controlled document.

• Farming team is being regularly updated about changes inPesticide regulations to keep in line with changing norms.

• Pesticide storage and handling is carried out by trainedindividuals only and in alignment with guidelines laid downby various standards like Global GAP, Field to Fork etc.

Blue trap: A number of important pest insects areattracted to a range of specific colour Wave lengths.These colours present stimuli to the insect whichmay elicit a number of responses ranging from hostplant recognition to ovipositional attractant, sexualstimuli etc. for certain species of thrips and leafminers.

Yellow sticky Traps: Small flying insect pests areattracted by the unique yellow color and stick to thenon-drying glue coating the trap. Yellow sticky trapsare a non toxic way to control and monitor –whiteflies, aphids, Cabbage white butterfly, fruitflies, thrips, cucumber beetles, leafhoppers etc.
