This is it. We are four days away from our Christmas presentation, “The Wonder of Christmas.” If you have not taken any “mini” posters to display around the community, please do so to- night. After tonight, we have one more re- hearsal—December 18th at 3:00p.m. This rehearsal will be full run-through with narration and soloists. We will wear our choir robes for the presentation. We will turn the stole to the “solid gold” side. Remember to re- move large or dangly earrings, high necklaces, scarves, turtleneck sweaters, noisy bracelets, etc. Such things might stick out above your choir robe. Don’t draw attention to yourself. Also, please remember to refrain from wearing any perfumes or colognes. Some people are highly allergic and it can become very difficult to sing. Kudos! I want to commend you for your ef- fort this past Sunday. “Goin’ to Bethle- hem” went very well. I especially appre- ciated your holding your music up and letting the congregation see your faces. Your efforts made a very repetitive song come to life. Thanks for listening. You did a great job with a great setting. Well presented! Time off! With 18 regular rehearsals, “A Night of Praise” presentation, 2 Christmas luncheon rehearsals, and 19 Sunday ser- vices behind you, you deserve some time off! Wednesday, December 22nd will begin your Christmas vacation from re- hearsals. We will not sing or sit in the choir loft on December 26th & January 2nd. STILL importance stuff (Revised):
Wednesday, December 15—The Narrator will join us
We will do a complete run-through with Win Trafford in the Sanctuary.
Saturday, December 18—Dress Rehearsal (3:00-4:30 p.m.) This is a very important rehearsal for the Christmas program. We will be putting the
final elements together. Please make sure you are in your place on time and ready to go.
Sunday, December 19—The Wonder of Christmas This is the big event. The one we have been working towards and preparing for. I will
want you to be here at 5:00 p.m. for a final “walk-through” of the program and a group pic-
ture. Program begins at 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 24—Christmas Eve Service: Love’s Pure Light This service is a drama in which candles will be used to represent the characters in the
Christmas story. It will include congregational carols and a soloist. My prayer is that it will be
a meaningful time for our congregation as we experience again the Light that has come into
the world. A Light that we cannot fully comprehend or extinguish.

Special Music As planning for the new year begins, I
need your help! Soloists, duets, trios,
quartets, and ensembles are needed
for special music on Sunday mornings
and evenings. It can be either vocal or
instrumental. A regular rotation will be
established to keep me from beating
the bushes each week. Let me know if
you want to be apart of this ministry
through music.

“Man does

for man sees
what is
visible, but
the Lord sees

1 Samuel 16:7
Promises from God’s Word
God’s Promise from 2 Peter 2:9 (NCV) “The Lord knows how to save those who serve him when troubles come.”
What Does This Mean For Me? When troubles come in your life, you can trust God to help you. After all, God
knows everything, so he surely knows the best way to help you during a hard time!
