1. Draw a stretch out line from the base of the prism2. Measure the perimeter of the base from the top view and lay off the segments on the stretch out line.3. From the front view, project its total height/altitude parallel to the stretch out line

4. Project the line segment endpoints marked on the stretch out line to this line to identify their respective lateral faces 5. Attach the upper base corresponding to the edge of the lateral face from the dimensions of the top view. (to assure accuracy of dimension, use one end point as pivot and the length of line segment as radius of the arc.)….. The choice of the position of the upper and lower bases are at the most convenient edges of the lateral area….. A PAIR OF THE BASES IS ONLY REQUIRED AS SHOWN OF THE NEST SLIDESS

1. Draw a stretch out line from the base of the prism2. Measure the perimeter of the base from the top view and lay off the segments on the stretch out line.3. From the front view, project the corresponding heights for each lateral edges

4. Project the line segment endpoints marked on the stretch out line & project the corresponding lateral edges to complete the lateral area5. Draw the partial auxiliary view as upper base

Represent the lower base edges with numbers and the upper base edges with letters on the front and top views accordingly.

6. Attach the dimensions of the top view as lower base to any of the bounding edges of the lateral faces of the lateral area correspondingly. The attachment of a pair of the bases to any convenient bounding edges as shown in the next frames is only required to complete the lateral development figure.

With line X as reference, draw line X parallel to the inclined surface in the front view

Then draw projectors perpendicular to line XMeasure the depth of the figure and Project the vertices of upper base to he auxiliary view area

•The lateral edges (folds) must be in section lines (thin)

•The bounding edges or the periphery of the lateral dev figure in visible lines (thick)•Erase sparingly and retain some pencil lines
