Lincoln Hills Ladies XVIII Golf Club
CORONA VIRUS ALERT: BE SAFE, STAY SAFE!
Captain’s Corner
Exciting news! We have the green light to resume golf!!! Our
daily routines have changed, and so has our routine around the game of
golf. However, how we play golf as a Women’s Club in the future, will be
different.
Now that we have been approved to start on Thursday, July 2nd, with the
return of LHLGXVIII events and regular playdays, we still need to strictly
follow the CDC, State, Placer County, Lincoln Hills Golf Course, and our
Board, to provide future guidance as we resume play. Please remember
that even as we proceed, any scheduled playdays and Tournaments will be
subject to short notice cancellations, if any new health and safety concerns
arise. Everyone’s continued safety is number one. You will be updated with
new information as soon as it is received.
Here is the current guideline the Ladies 18 will be following:
Lincoln Hills Ladies 18 Golf Club Member Guidelines
The following policies will be in effect at Lincoln Hills Golf Course during
Ladies Play Days and are subject to change based on current County and
State guidelines. Player failing to adhere to the following policies may be
asked to leave the premises.
General Sanitation
• Players must maintain at least 6 ft. minimum distance from other
people while on the property.
• Face coverings must be worn as required by COVID-19 guidelines
when 6 ft. distance cannot be met, such as during check-in, practice
areas, etc.
Groupings
• Tee times will be staggered starting at 8:00 AM in 10 minutes
intervals. No shotgun starts yet. Tournament Chair will send out on
Monday, like normal, the time you will be playing as well as the
ladies you will be playing with. We have slots for 48 players and
times will range from 8 to 10 am. If there is more than 48, the
Tournament Chair will put them on a wait list. (Please note that 7:30
tee times have been requested.)
• Please arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to tee time, pay (credit
card only) and be ready to go. No sweeps money collected.
Payment price is set by regular course non-member price or your
individual Lincoln Hills member prices. Regular-$44, Prospector-$40,
Gold Rush-$38.
• Social distancing until allowed to proceed to starting hole. Only 1
group allowed at starting area.
Carts
• Single rider cart. Players allowed to bring own carts. Club cart
sanitation policies are subject to county ordinances and will be
maintained by host facilities. It is recommended to bring your own
hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes/spray.
Scorecard Procedures
• Scorecards available at check-in or on carts. We will be using LHLG
scorecards.
• One player in each 4-some keeps a scorecard with all 4 scores. All
players should keep their own score for verification after the round.
At completion of round, verify your hole by hole score with the 4-
score marker and the marker should initial next to each player’s
name as they verbally confirm their score. No signing scorecard-only
needs to verify verbally to confirm score.
• Scorecards then placed in a scorecard basket/box in the Pro Shop.
Submit only one scorecard.
• Results will be e-mailed to all players on Golf Genius. At this point
in time, we will not be able to do sweeps and no closest to the pins.
We will let you know when that changes. Tournament Chair will be
posting your scores through golf genius so, please do not post.
Food and Beverage
• Bring your own water. No water provided on Golf Course.
• Beverages and some/snacks on course may be available by the food
carts.
Bathrooms
• Bathrooms outside the Pro Shop and on both courses are to remain
open and cleaned according to County Guidelines.
Flagstick and Hole
• The flagstick is not to be touched at any time. Blatant disregard for
this policy may result in disqualification.
• The hole has an insert that allows the ball to drop below the level of
the putting green. You may retrieve it without touching the flagstick
or the edge of the hole.
Bunkers
• Bunker rakes will be removed from the course and are considered
ground under repair. No penalty removing it out of the bunker and
placing the ball outside of the bunker no closer to the hole.
• Players are encouraged to smooth the surface of the bunker with their
foot or club before exiting the bunker.
Maximum Score
• The maximum allowable score for a hole is 10. You will get only the
maximum score if your actual score exceeds the maximum. A player
who does not hole out gets the maximum score for the hole. You are
encouraged to stop playing a hole when you have reached the
maximum score.
Be safe, stay safe and healthy, and continue to do your part in stopping
the spread of COVID 19.
July Spotlight
Nominations for 2021 Executive Board and Extended Board
As per our By-Laws, nominations for club officers will be accepted between
July 1 and July 31. Also, according to the By-Laws, the process consists of three
members of which a Past Captain and two other members will select the nominee
for incoming Co-Captain, Secretary, and Treasurer.
All positions are considered open (except Captain) through this process. Any
member can nominate themselves or another member. If a current Executive
Board member wishes to continue in their position they must be nominated and
voted in by the membership. Please note that we do not update the membership as
to who wishes to run for an office or who is nominated for an office during this
process, as this could discourage someone from expressing interest in one of the 3
open positions.
* After the nominating period has ended the nominee’s names will be posted by
August 15 as per our By-Laws.
* The nominating committee’s slate and all other nominees will be sent to the
membership.
* Voting is by ballot at the September 17th general meeting and/or by e-vote.
* Check types of positions on our website under By-Laws for descriptions.
