Scene One! Take 4! Introduction 

Annnddd Action! Rachel performed in theatres and went to York University. hat is when she really started acting and showing her skills to everyone. She also influenced others to do acting when they grew up too! Rachel became one of a kind and inspirational and she was an influence on others in her 20’s. She said, “ keep your dreams, never give up and be whatever you want to be, whenever you want to be.”

She showed how much she loved acting at a young age and when she won over 200 awards, she became even more inspiring to everyone! Throughout her early life and personal life, she showed how she became an inspirational Canadian and one of a kind to others. She never gave up her job of acting too. Follow your dreams, and don’t give up!

Rolllll, The Camera Early Life 

Cut the music! The popular Canadian celebrity, Rachel Anne McAdams was born on November 17, 1978. She was born and raised in London, Ontario. Rachel lived with her mother Sandra, who was a nurse, father Lance, a mover, brother Daniel, and sister Kayleen. From age 4, Rachel had been figure skating competitively. Surprisingly, when Rachel was 12 she had a new found passion for acting. Rachel had advanced with her acting skills as a child through the ‘’Original Kids Theatre’’ in her hometown. She was inspired to join them after seeing one of their productions. As she said in an interview with the New York Times, ‘’ I told my mother that I had to be in it. That I would die if I wasn’t.’’

In high school, Rachel had been in many theatre productions. Even when Rachel's drama teacher, Linda Maskell Pereira had been inquired about Rachel, she stated that she recalls seeing Rachel on the stairs near the end of her senior year in high school. At the time, Pereira was wondering what Rachel would do after graduation? Rachel had told her she wanted to study social sciences at the University of Western Ontario in London.“I love drama so much, but I just don't think that it would be a very practical thing to do” Rachel had said according to Pereira. “I don't think I can get a job.” Pereira conjectured knowing that she would succeed and told Rachel she should follow her heart and give drama a try. From then on, Rachel had her mind set on acting. She went to York University in Toronto, Ontario to study theatre. Soon after she had landed humongous roles in ‘’Slings’’, ‘’My Name is Tanino’’ and much more. Rachel was becoming a BIG STAR! Later on, Rachel had won many awards for her roles that she played in various movies and shows. Her acting career had just taken off.

CUT! Career 

''CUT!''. Rachel McAdams had her career take off right after the movie ''Hot Chick''. Soon after, Rachel had been cast in ''Mean Girls'' as Regina George; a sassy, popular, and mean teenage girl. Rachel was in ''Mean Girls'' with costars Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, Lindsay Lohan, and others. Later that year, Rachel was also in the movie ''The Notebook'' with Canadian costar Ryan Gosling. From then on, Rachel was caught in the public eye. She won MTV award for best villain for ''Mean Girls'', and many more. At the peak of Rachel's career, she decided

she wanted to take a break from acting. Her fanbase was extremely startled by her sudden disappearance from the public eye. In an interview, Rachel had stated ''I'm not going to make movies just to make movies. I have to be passionate about it. At the same time, I can get very distracted when I'm working, and I like to get back to my life a lot.''. While taking a break from acting, Rachel had rejected many roles in movies like ''Get Smart'' and ''The Devil Wears Prada''. Rachel bounced back after her break with a role in the movie ''Married Life'' in 2008. Rachel's success only got better as the years went by after her break. Today, Rachel is still at it with acting. We hope she will not be taking any break soon!

Facts  Her First role ever was as April O'Neil. Yes, the news reporter from Teenage Mutant Ninja 

Turtles. 

Growing up Rachel was in the Original Kids Theatre appearing in productions such as 

Shakespeare. Her first ever acting award was for her role in the high school play ‘’I Live in A 

Little Town’’, which was featured in the Ontario Showcase of the Sears Drama Festival. 

In ‘’Mean Girls’’, Rachel had originally auditioned for the role of Cady Heron, the main 

character in the movie. Similarly, Lindsay Lohan had auditioned for Regina George, “mean 

girl”, but the director thought both actresses better suited for the other role and so they both 

switched. 

Rachel McAdams was 26 when she was playing high schooler Regina George

‘’ Exclusive on Hollywood Magazine!’’ Rachel Anne McAdams loves to cook as an interest! She follows recipes to create delicious foods! She was a vegetarian too! Being a former vegetarian has been one of her thoughts. After a while of acting, she decided to take a break from acting at about 2006-2007 and decided to start acting again in 2008. In 2007, she had the decision to date Ryan Gosling, who was also an actor. In 2007, she created a website called ‘’Green is Sexy’’ about the environment. She showed her personal life through the website and showed how she cared about the environment so much and her fans!

Rachel McAdams! Nominated for…. Accomplishments, Awards and Inspiration  ''And the Grammy goes to…….'' Some amazing films that Rachel was apart of are Sherlock Holmes, Mean Girls, and much more! Rachel has had a lot of success in films that she loves and her fans do too. She had also won many awards! (Some of the best awards possible in the world!) Some the awards that Rachel has won are… The Academy Award which is only given to one of the few best supporting actresses/actors! Another award that Rachel got was the Genie Award that was given out by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. Rachel has been nominated and has won approximately 237 awards in the past 20 years! WOW! Don't you think that's AMAZING! Rachel has always been a phenomenal actress with great skills. To win this many awards is FANTASTIC. This shows that when you put your mind something, you can do it, and that’s exactly what Rachel McAdams did. Rachel does her acting with passion, so she can achieve many things. That is why she is SUPER inspirational. Rachel can also be a role model for young people just like us to show that anything is possible only if you put your mind to it.

Rachel has truly shown how she was an inspiration and one of a kind Candian through all her life and to others who loved her acting job when she performed in theatres and plays. We should learn about Rachel Anne Madams because she showed her personality to people and kids who loved her acting job and her plays and who want to act when they are older. Throughout her life, she loved her career of acting and truly inspired others to keep their career of acting going or she inspired others to start acting. It shows that Rachel is a truly inspirational Canadian to herself and others. CUT!!
