The Museum of the Person is a virtual museum that collects,
preserve and share life stories for social change. LIFE, our fi rst
digital book is one of these initiatives. We believe that the
world will be a better place if we affi rm the universal value of
the individual human life story and the necessity for a global
community of tellers and listeners - with this desire to reach
the largest number of people, we started this project with
two more language versions: Portuguese and French. And we
hope to fi nd people who are able to help us to translate this
book to Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, etc.
In the end of the year, we will publish a new version of
this book, with brand new photos and stories from people
who read and identifi ed themselves through those life
stories. There are too many lives, and they are unique
and full of plenitudes. Weave your story in this great and
supportive network!

The deponents carefully saved the photos you just saw for
years. Now, these are available to the public as part of our
collection which has around 70 thousands photos and 14
thousands testimonials - audio and video statements sent by
Internet by common people. Our mission is to contribute
to make every person’s story valued by society. We aim for
a fairer and more democratic world based on the stories
of people from all the segments of society.
If you like this book, you can participate of a new edition, by
sending photos and reports. This book is part of the actions
of The International Day for Sharing Life Stories , a Museum of
the Person and the Center of Digital Storytelling partnership.
